"Enjoyed our stay but a bit disappointed."
Living only a few hours away, we had been looking forward to trying this hotel for quite some time. Our stay was for 3 nights. The facilities are very pretty, and the restaurant is good. We had both breakfast and dinner at Oggies (where they also allowed us to order some things off the other restaurant menu.) The room was adequate, but we honestly didn't feel it was anything special. The pool area was just okay, but I'm sure we would have enjoyed it more if we had toddlers or very young children. Our kids are older (11 and 13) so there wasn't really much for them and us except water basketball. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even calling the room to see if we found the room okay shortly after we arrived. The view from the hotel is amazing - wonderful location. Our last day there, we left early in the morning to enjoy the Black Hills and returned late in the evening to find that the cleaning crew had not gotten our door fully closed after cleaning the room, so the door was ajar. I had locked our valuables in the safe, and thankfully nothing appeared to be missing. However, when I called the front desk to report it, the person I spoke to didn't seem to be concerned at all of the problem. He just basically said to let them know if anything was missing and they'd send someone up. There wasn't really an apology or assurance that they would even speak to housekeeping. He was polite, but not apologetic, so it just didn't leave me with a good feeling.

"Nice hotel located easy walk to main street"
Very friendly staff, clean room, somewhat small but you need to be out and about to get the real Deadwood experience not in a hotel room. We did have a room that was facing Lee St. And deliveries happened to start at 7:00am so if you would Ike to sleep in I would request an interior room.

"Anniversary vacation"
My husband lives and works in North Dakota and I live in Kansas, where our home is. We have been married for 32 years and decided to meet in the middle and spend a week in the Black Hills of South Dakota. We stayed in a few different places during our trip and spent the last 2 days at this motel. We had only booked for 1 night but we decided to stay another night right away.

"Expectations met"
First time to Sturgis and didn't know what to expect. Bikers, gunslingers, wild west has always been my impression so I didn't have high goals. We were greeted to an older hotel that was convenient for us. The front desk girl checked us in no problem. Our room was clean, just older. They had breakfast every morning. No hassle. For the money paid it was just what we needed.

"Food extremely slow and out of selections wanted"
Hotel guests, but had to wait 45 minutes since we did not have a reservation for dinner, hotel staff should have told us to get reservations at restaurant when we checked in. Our friends were told 15 minutes, but waited an hour. What my husband and I wanted, two separate items, were sold out. Their excuse was that there was a bus tour there at the same time, that was no surprise the bus tour was staying at the hotel. We did get a free beverage and a free desert, left over from the bus tour. Very slow service but the food was decent for the price.

Sturgis is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Sturgis, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Sturgis hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
