the toilet was dirty - mold all around the corners in bath you could see how dirty the ac was very out dated could hear thru the wall towels very thin - on left 1/4 roll of toliet paper cannot believe Expedia recommended this place

Would stay at Blackstone again, value for dollar. Everything was approaching average but never quite getting there. The beds were very comfortable and the room fairly quiet. It was dated in most every way, the wifi was not available in the morning, breakfast was not stocked consistently. We had to wait quite a while as they ran out when we arrived. We had booked a handicap room on AB&B to our surprise and when the desk clerk asked we said we did not require this. They immediately told us we had to upgrade our room. It felt like a money grab and they were unrelenting in getting more money from us. They charged the full room rate to my card and when I challenged him on why the full rate and not the difference he kept explaining upgrade, upgrade. After several minutes of this he returned my card with a smile and said it was handled and the charge was for incidentals. Will be checking my charges to make sure I am not charged twice for one room. AB&B should not show handicap rooms unless they are requested!!! Then be very clear if you are booking one by mistake!!

It it was one of the dirtiest rooms I've ever seen there was wasp least 3 in deep in the window seals and flying around the room I didn't even stay I had to eat what I paid to them I would never recommend this to nobody it's a horrible disgusting place

I saw other people with pets but I did not bring any. The property was mostly quiet excepts the aged window unit that made strange noises. The hot tubs were a nice treat after a long day although one wasn’t filled and the second one we couldn’t get the lights or jets to turn on. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a normal continental style. Unit had everything we needed microwave, fridge, tv, hangers, and comfortable bedding. WiFi was fast and I was able to get work done on downtime. Love the location (down the road from deadwood). Such a cute little town!

This place is a run down $h!t hole, dirty, dust everywhere, towel. Racks are falling off the wall, mold on the ceiling above the shower, bathroom vent does not work, air conditioner through the wall was so noisy. We could hardly sleep. No meat on the continental breakfast. We were so unhappy we actually left a day early with no refund.

Building is in need of updating and things like laundry are broken. Hot tubs are in parking lot on a deck that’s also in need of repair. Breakfast is terrible with items seemingly stocked and then allowed to run out so go early or you’ll get nothing

We were given the executive suite and found green mold on the ceiling of the bathroom and mold on the calking around the tub. There was dust sitting on the table between the beds. The building was not kept up (paint chips on all the doorways and the walls didn’t look like they had seen new paint in years. I didn’t think to take photos. I do not recommend this hotel!!

Description on site is a joke. There is no restaurant or bar. The restaurant was warmed up frozen pizza or chicken tenders and the bar was the choice of two beers or wine. After such a long trip I expected to be able to check in and then enjoy a cocktail and dinner. Not gonna happen there. The jacuzzi did show they were like any jacuzzi someone might have in there back yard. But I guess that was good there were 3. One empty and the other two you got to choose your level of nasty smell!! Definitely would not recommend this place

It’s time to renovate the rooms, ceiling paint is pealing off in large sections. Bathroom needs to be updated, and beds are a few years past replacement. If you are used to red roof in’s or cheap city hotels you will fit right in. Breakfast had expired food out. That being said staff were very friendly and nice.

Very Poor Terrible Experience

Our stay at the Blackstone in Lead, So. Dakota, was terrible! The desk personnel was pleasant. And friendly. But there was so much wrong with the room. I wish I had never used hotel.com to reserve my room. The hotel Blackstone in Lead South Dakota was given a score of 8. By hotel.com. Nothing could be further from the truth. I would give it possibly a score of -10. 1. Carpet and floors, dirty, and stained. 2. Had to call to have TV turn on. And after 3. Could not shut the TV off. 4. Refrigerator in room did not work even after I turned it on. Therefore, we lost our food. 5. Heater malfunctioned. 6. Hairdryer unit came completely out of the wall. 7. Toilet paper holder came out of the wall. 8. Bathroom floor dirty. 9. One packet of decaf coffee and 1 cup in the room upon arrival instead of the usual two regular and two decaf packets. 10. Towels were worn thin and small. 11. Before leaving for the day, we gave staff a list of things that needed taken care of while we were out and upon our return 10 hours later nothing was completed. 12. Beds were uncomfortable/lumpy. 13. The room had an odd odor. When I asked if I could change my reservation, I was told no because I had gone through hotel.com paid and reserved the room. I hope to hear from hotel.com and possibly receive some type of compensation for our Terrible Experience and Stay at the Blackstone hotel.

The bed was nice...

The bed was comfy and clean. Thats the end of the positives. The bathroom was filtly. Huge clump of hair in the shower, dirty wash cloth in the night stand, garage on the floor NEXT to garbage can. Food in the fridge. Non smoking room, strong smoke odor. Remote missing battery cover and didnt turn the TV on or off. Breakfast area was dirty, waffle batter was runny and pale, made a tasteless rubbery waffle. The staff was nice but disnt seem to care when I teied to mention the uncleanliness. A cheap bed to sleep in, but would not stay again if traveling alone.
