The hotel was both wonderful and perfectly located in Winters. It’s a small town with everything in walking distance. The staff was helpful and we were allowed to check-in early since the room was ready. One night in Winters was a wonderful experience.

Do NOT Stay Here! NO Pool or hot tub. NO bar or pool tables. Room not clean, gross, dead roach too. We did not stay. The WORST! Looked abandoned, sketchy and scary

Overall, we had a fantastic stay at The Citizen Hotel! Check-in and checkout were both incredibly easy, and the staff made everything feel seamless. The restaurant downstairs was a highlight. We ate there for multiple meals and everything was fantastic. Our room was also nicely updated, comfortable, and had a lot of character. My only real feedback would be around cleanliness. There wasn’t a fitted sheet on the mattress, which was a bit of a bummer, and the shower had some visible mold in a few areas. The air filter was also noticeably full of dust and dirt and looked like it could use a good cleaning or replacement. Those details aside, we really enjoyed our stay and had a great experience overall. With a little more attention to the room cleanliness, it would have been excellent!

Hotel room smelled very heavy of cigarettes. Bathroom was dirty. Bedsheets looked clean but had a dirty smell. The room door barely locked, felt like anybody could come in any moment. Just stayed 1 hour and then left, didn’t bother to spend the night.
