It is always disappointing when a hotel doesn't start serving breakfast until 7:00, especially when they are located close to an interstate and people are more than likely just passing through and not staying for tourist attractions. Also, the coffee that was in the lobby thermoses was cold, so we didn't have that to start our day with. Other than that, the hotel was clean, quiet and parking convenient. The pool looked great too.

The desk clerk at check-in was very helpful, friendly, & even helped us with pizza suggestions! The breakfast was great & the attendant was pleasant even when some people seemed to be rude! Loved that there was always coffee available! Will consider this property again when visiting family!

If a traveler is one who can appreciate wonderful history of a given area within any town, who marvels at the architecture of the early 1900's, who respects the work to refurbish and maintain a nearly 100 year old home, is charmed by the landscape and relishes calm, civility and old luxury........this is the place to stay. Sans a few quirks, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt transported back to the roaring '20's. The only think they we would have liked to have enjoyed, was a breakfast vs a continental menu. We met one of the owners and he was gracious with his time and key historical notes regarding the house and previous owners.

Front desk staff was “bad”!

Very nice stay! This is a small hotel but has everything you need. It is older, so the furnishings can use some updating, but it was extremely clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was great, better than some of the bigger hotels we stayed at! It also has a pool which was really nice since we were experiencing temperatures in the 90's. It is conveniently located right near I-85 and is also close to some shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Did not use air conditioning. Breakfast was practically non-existent. Lawn mower in the hallways. Cigarette smell throughout. It was so bad, we sacrificed one nights charge and left early. We would not recommend it to anyone to stay.
