Staff and owners were very helpful .

The gal who checked us in was nice. Our room was clean and could see the ocean across the street. We always carry poop bags for our dog. The grass pet area was full of poop, everywhere. They could have bags for people who can't seem to pick up their dogs crap. That is my only complaint. We would stay again, centrally located.

No hot water. Luckily, a full container of propane had been left, but I had to figure it out myself and switch the container to get hot water. The room is really too small for a third person. After you blow up the mattress, you have no floor room.

To be fair, I’m not sure there’s a better hotel in Crescent City. There are no luxury or big chain hotels in the area. That being said, the hotel is dated. The furniture is very old, worn and pretty random. The sink was not in the bathroom, but rather in the main part of the room. On a positive note, the bed was very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. It was also quiet. We were in the area to view the Redwoods and there could not be a better location. It seemed we could leave our hotel and be into the park in less than 10 minutes.

Everything was great except the people above us moving around furniture most the night.
