Lovely Resort in a quiet spot between Ballarat and Creswick. The resort breakfast was more than enough to fuel you up for a day of sightseeing, and one staff member "Maddison" went out of her way to refresh the cutlery when I pointed out there were no knives - she then bought 2 to our table for us. The room was a little tired, with stains on the carpet and the mattress has seen better days. But overall, the stay was good and suited our needs.

Lovely historic house. We stayed in the plum room which has great views over Daylesford and a huge claw bath right in the bedroom. If you like a sense of history you will get it here. It is 2 blocks from the main shopping street and a block from the Convent Gallery so great location. It was a scorcher the day we arrived and no air con so quite hot since we were on the 2nd floor. Breakfast was adequate but very plain.

Situated to the west of Daylesford in Victoria, Smeaton is the perfect place to rest, relax and recharge. The rural country town provides a slow-paced atmosphere, yet is a short distance from the resort town of Hepburn Springs and all its holistic spas. Saddle up and enjoy a horse ride at the nearby Hepburn Lagoon, which provides second-to-none views.
