"Overnight stay before ferry to France"
Generally a great little hotel, and far better than the rest of the hotels in the area. This was a second stay and would use the hotel again. Whilst the hotel is well situated some rooms can be subject o outside noise - including late night partygoers returning from pubs after midnight.

"The Hotel with a View."
The staff give a warm welcome and genuinely seem interested in how you are experiencing the holiday. They seemed happy to help and have good knowledge of the area. They also interacted with the children rather than ignoring them, like we've experienced in other establishments. We found the facilities for the children to be absolutely brilliant. There are two secluded play rooms (rooms that one can shut a door to which is good for little ones); one for 0-5 year olds filled with good quality toys and books, and the other for toddlers and older children downstairs, plus one general room with a pool table & air hockey. There is also a games room by Reception. The indoor heated pool was very pleasant. Very good if it's raining / if you want to stay in the Hotel instead of going out. The sauna and jacuzzi were nice. The food was cooked and presented to a good standard. We really enjoyed the choice of dishes available and the children's meals were a good portion size. He restaurant staff were accommodating and always smiley. The breakfast was enjoyable but the buffet selection seemed smaller than our last visit. The hotel has beautiful views of the gardens, sea and cliffs while you eat. The room had a wonderful view. The bed was comfortable & bedding clean and appropriately layered for the current temperatures. Cushions were a good width and support. The linen smelt lovely. Good storage for clothes! This hotel has a lovely atmosphere, it feels like coming home after a day out.

"A second home"
We found The Leconfield some years ago and visit as often as we can. It's cheaper than buying a 2nd home in a place we love! Paul, Cheryl and their team make you so welcome, and the hotel is comfortable and clean, and beautifully situated. This visit was mid summer and the Isle was busier than we are used to, but there are plenty of places to 'get away from it all'. Lovers of nature will appreciate its largely unspoilt character, while lovers of food will find plenty to please them. Ask Paul for some recommendations!

"great hotel in a superb location"
We arrived on a bank holiday weekend and easily found a parking space and left the car to explore the area before checking in after the stated time. Even though we booked a twin room (was only room left) we were pleased to be allocated a double room which seemed to be a family room as it had bunk beds too, no problem for us. We had a quick drink in the pleasant bar and charged it to our room and then headed out for the evening. The check out was a good time 11am and we had a very nice breakfast, the staff were quick to acknowledge us and take our order for food and drinks. The selection for the buffet was very nice with a good range of items to choose from and after a short wait our hot breakfast arrived which was delicious and set us up for the day. On check out the staff member serving us was very friendly and checked we had enjoyed our stay, which we did and wouldn't hesitate to recommend and return at a later date.

Shanklin is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Shanklin, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Shanklin hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
