"Classic Grand Hotel perched high over San Remo"
Relaxing 5 day stay. All staff very helpful except Pinot. Breakfast superb otherwise food average and somewhat overpriced. Pillows very hard. Calm ambience with lovely manicured grounds.

"Fantastic place to stay for tourers"
We were thoroughly surprised with how lovely and perfect for us this hotel was. After reading the reviews I imagined a 'motel' by a road... This was true but the hotel had a lovely feel to it and was extremely practical for us. We could park our bike right outside our room. Our WIFI connection was great and the room had plenty of space for all our gear and accessories. Santa Stefano itself was stunning, friendly and full of character. We wished we could stay longer.

"Old World hotel with exceptional beach views"
Hotel Europa is in its original condition, most likely from the 1930's/1940's, and remains untouched. The hallways, lift, bathroom tiles, wallpaper and furniture have a charming quality, if somewhat dated... the hotel itself is in a superb location, one side facing the sea and the other facing the decadent San Remo Casino, in the central shopping and restaurant area. The room itself was huge by today's standards, true to the style of old world hotels, complete with an entry hall and super tall ceilings, and the view of the sea from the little balcony was breathtaking, all day long. Undoubtedly, with a proper renovation, this hotel could be superb. Although old, the room was comfortable and for the most part clean, however on arrival I found layers of dust on the desk and bedside tables, and had to wipe them down myself before placing my things on the furniture. All in all, this is a good hotel for a short stay.

"Nice hotel, good location being renovated"
Lovely location about 15 mins walk to the centre. Close to the beach. Beach beds & parasols have to be paid for. Two beds & parasol for day 13 euros. Nice walk along the seafront to bars & restaurants. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our first room was small and dark and they changed it with no problem. They also allowed us to keep our room until midday on check out. There are extensive renovations to the hotel, some rooms are not in use. The lobby area and outside were also a work in progress. Whilst the work did not disturb us when we arrived they start early in the morning. Breakfast was buffet which included sausage, bacon & scrambled eggs along with the normal buffet breakfast. Would go back to this hotel but would wait until the renovation is complete

"Great Hotel"
Faboulous old hotel. Only downside is very busy raid out front. I'm sure the hotel predates the business of the road. Pool, trestauarant, rooms all great.

"Pleasant Hotel for All:"
This is a wonderful hotel. It is located close by to private beaches and to restaurants. The walk to the public beach is a bit of a hike. However, I recommend the private beach as all the annoying rocks were removed. The only negative about the hotel is the shower/tub. It is easier to take a bath than a shower.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Santo Stefano al Mare hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
