Couldn't have asked for more really. The hotel was clean and staff were very helpful / friendly. Breakfast was great. Location was great. Good value for money and in line with what you would expect a 4 star to be. This was a special occasion for me and my partner, the hotel did what they could to make it more memorable.

Great spot although it was difficult for us to find, on entering the town. It was great to be so close to the train to Cinque t
Terre as well as the boats to Cinque Terre. Hotel staff recommended Portovenere which was my favourite spot of my entire three weeks in Italy. Thank you so much front desk for the recommendation. It was close to many restaurants and we felt perfectly safe at the hotel as well as the entire area. Many helpful and friendly people in La Spezia. The included breakfast was good and the view from the dining room was beautiful. It was we'll worth it to us to have paid the extra for parking our rental car in their secure underground parking as we didn't have to worry about parking for the three days we were there. We requested a spot in advance of our stay. Great location, staff and hotel. Would not hesitate recommending this spot!!

Our first time in Genoa and we found the city and the hotel very enjoyable. The Bristol is in an excellent location right across the bus stop from the airport and main train station. A ten min walk to the other station which we used to head to Cinqua Terra. Very nice local restaurants nearby. The breakfast buffet was extensive enough to satisfy us all. The hotel restaurant served a nice dinner one night. The staff was friendly and helpful. The oval main staircase is magnificent! I'd stay here again.

Excellent staff on whole. Our stay was tainted by 2 things: 1) bathroom not thoroughly cleaned; 2) mattress was upside down, so we were sleeping on the spring side rather than the pad side. Rather than flip the mattress
at 10pm, we were allowed to change rooms.

Lobby with paintings pervasive like being in a Villa. Out front parking easy. Staff helpful. Breakfast one of best in Italy. Cozy bar. Room spacious and clean. Spa, fitness & pool across street accessible by a bridge over the highway right on a cliff facing the sea. Lovely spot and our favorite hotel on the Italian Riviera.

"Great hotel with great sea views in a lovely town"
The hotel had a real old-fashioned European grandeur about it from the outside but was modern inside. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with a nice view. It was quiet at night, though it was the first room after the lift lobby so there was some faint noise from the lifts going up and down in their shafts from fairly early most mornings. It didn't disturb us unduly as we were becoming wakeful by then anyway. There were robes and slippers, nice products in the bathroom, a safe and a TV but oddly no tea or coffee-making - maybe that's not that unusual in Italy, not sure. The staff at breakfast were very nice, friendly and efficient and always pleasant despite being busy, the staff on reception were helpful but not especially friendly or genuinely welcoming. The breakfast buffet was generous and had great variety of beautiful fresh food from bread and cheese to fruit to eggs to pastries. There was a lovely pool on the terrace where towels and sun loungers were provided, and a spa, as well as parking on site. There was limited food in an expensive bar, or the expensive restaurant on the roof.
