"Great location & price. Room temps are pretty hot."
This is a great place to meet people. Reservations are required for evening meals and you are seated at tables with others which helps you meet new people and enjoy their company. We met some wonderful people, skied with some and hope that we will see them again on future trips to the Peruvian. The room was rustic but comfortable and definitely clean which is all I really care about. The room was also very warm, but we just shut off the heater and opened the window to get real fresh air. The Peruvian also has an outdoor heated pool and two jacuzzis which are a real treat - especially after a hard day of skiing. The only complaint I had the entire week was that the food was a bit spicy. Let up on the pepper and hot spices and everything would be just great!

"Could have managed situation better"
We stayed at the Solitude condominium resort from 2/18 to 2/20 and the morning of the day we were to check in the entire lodge lost power due to a heavy winter storm with high winds. They only ran a generator for a restaurant to run but all of the condos were without heat and hot water and ability to cook or refrigerate anything. Glow sticks were passed around so that people could navigate around hallways and flashlights were given to us around 11pm when we asked for them (they were not given to us when we checked into the room). Keys were not made for us until the next day when the power returned so each time we had left the resort (which was often because there was no reason for us to stay in the dark), we had to be let back in. In general, we felt that the resort could have handled the power outage a little better for its customers. When the pilot light went out in the gas fireplace in our room (the only working source of heat!) I was basically told that it was an easy process that I could do myself and no one was sent to help me out. I eventually did figure it out, but not after about 20min of reading the directions and hoping for the best when I turned the gas on and off. We had to ask, at checkout, for a refund, instead of being offered it right off the bat when we were checking in to a situation that was almost guaranteed not to be resolved until the next day. Thankfully, and in a very redeeming way, we were reimbursed the first night's stay.

" Nice summer mountain escape:"
The Inn was a nice mountain escape from the humdrum Salt Lake City hotel options. We drove down the canyon to attend a function but then retreated back at Solitude for our own retreat. We hiked at Silver Lake just up the road at Brighton Ski Resort- park at the nature center then and wait out any mountain rains there. Then we drove the beautiful mountain pass road to Park City (instead of going back down the canyon). Guardsman Pass Road which is only open in the summer. See photo of trail map which also as the road on it too.

"Great hotel for Oktoberfest"
We rented two rooms for Oktoberfest so that we wouldn't have to drive home after the festivities. It was a great decision. The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. I liked the control for the temperature, and the toiletries were high quality. I recommend the hotel except for a few drawbacks: 1) the hotel is hard to navigate. The sign in the elevator said, for instance, what is found on level A, but there was no button for level A. Then my room was on 7, but when I got off on 7, I couldn't get to my room because I was on the wrong elevator. 2) it was difficult to get to Oktoberfest with a stoller or wheelchair. Ramps are few and far between; there are stairs everywhere and occasional escalators - both useless when a person is on wheels. Add to that the construction re-routes, and I felt lost and trapped. 3) The weekend buffet brunch was only okay, especially for the price.
