"quiet location with beautiful outlook"
Absolutely fantastic staff, always helpful, friendly and chatty, really made our stay. Great location to base from, it is out of town but that's the beauty of it.

"Friendly, wonderful location"
Our family of 4 stayed in the villa over the water which was beautifully located, with a wonderful beach and great snorkelling. The resort is run by a very helpful and friendly family. Amazing staff who were attentive and professional. Having spent 2 nights at an upmarket resort prior to staying here we welcomed the change and felt it was for the better. This is not 5* luxury accommodation by any stretch, but it was clean, very welcoming and perfectly adequate for our family. Great for kids as the beach provided hours of snorkelling and we could watch them from either the villa or the fabulously located restaurant over the beach. The restaurant was excellent and very good value. The mojito mocktail was a highlight of the bar; fresh lemongrass and local limes. The oka was the best we had tried on our travels, and the lobster was also a highlight and incredibly good value. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The chef was obliging when asked if he could make us Chop Suey! The highlight was the fire dancers on Friday night. They were amazing and it was a bonus they were all local. The manager Tim values the local villagers and contributes accordingly. The planned upgrades sound great and we wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Hotel staff were lovely, the pool wasn’t working the whole 10 days we were there which was disappointing, the bathroom wasn’t very clean, shower in particular, other then that I was happy and would still stay there again but the cleaning standard needs to be improved

"Good price for an overnight stay. "
Stayed here overnight as we were traveling from New Zealand to American Samoa. We were in room 6. The bathroom door did open fully and that is because the toilet was right behind the door. Think it had been hit a few times as whole toilet moved. Could not turn the hot tap on in the hand basin Faucet seemed to be stuck. Looked like toilet paper had been thrown up onto the shelf above the toilet. The double bed had been made using twin size sheets (just lucky that there was only one person in that bed or it would have been a fight for bedding). No remote for the AC and so the room got quite cold overnight. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

"Relaxing location"
We had an enjoyable stay and found the whole experience fantastic. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The short road in and out of resort was a bit rough, but if that's the price you pay for wanting peace and quiet then I'd definitely come back.

The minute we arrived we were made welcome The staff were excellent and we had fun with them We meet lovely people also staying there the facilities are great Our only complaint would be the air conditioning in our room was very noisy and could not be turned off or down as the remote would work even with new batteries Also place to stay and relax and would recommend to all

"Beautiful beach fales and excellent swimming spot "
It was disappointing that on arrival we had to pay 10tala to drive to the accomodation and there was no ability to challenge this- the driveway to the beach was in need of repair and a lower vehicle would find it hard over the bumps. However on arrival the locals using the day fales provided an amazing atmosphere and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. The food was delicious and the local youth groups cultural performance was epic with the national fire dancing champion was a treat! A beautiful and safe swimming beach and reefs to explore.

"Can't wait to come back"
We had a fabulous time at Taumeasina. We tried using all their facilities all to which were fabulous (especially the spa massages). Was a bit concerned with the state of the rooms considering the resort is only a year old, shower heads and holders were broken and appeared rusty. Even after notifying reception and saying they would send maintenance to fix the shower heads, they did not. Also noticed lots of ants inside the rooms. I would say they were harmless but definitely not a good look. Apart from those small issues everything and everyone was amazing, staff were always pleasant and willing to help. Room service was our best friend! 24 hour menu was awesome. We will definitely be back again.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
