The Pros: - Inexpensive - Clean - Roof top pool - Comfortable new mattress The Cons: - No refrigerator in the room - they had them in October (friends stayed here then) but have since removed them from all rooms. - No ice access anywhere in the hotel - Steps to exit the pool platform are slippery when wet with no handrail. Pretty dangerous. -No place to park legally to unload luggage. Difficult when your alone. Neither pro or con- just observations: The furnishings and fixtures are quite dated -think 1980's pseudo deco, most in need of cosmetic repair. Repairs on walls partially done, I.e. spackle patches in the walls but not yet painted. Tile missing in the pool. I found the check in process very easy. I received my code via email by check in time and entered the property and my room without difficulty. However, I can see why some reviewers complained about the process- especially those who are unaccustomed to the digital world. I did not use any of the spa services so cannot comment on them Bottom line: you get what you paid for.

My recent stay was a complete nightmare. This property does not meet basic hospitality standards, let alone 4-star quality. - Dangerous Lift: We stayed on the top floor (4th floor). Every time the lift reached the top, it jerked violently—it felt terrifyingly unsafe, as if the cable was about to break. - Missing Amenities: No kettle, coffee, or tea-making facilities in the room. - Cleanliness: After a late flight check-in, the pillows smelled dirty and unwashed. Housekeeping did replace them the next morning after we complained. - Language Barrier: Outside of reception, staff (including cleaners) spoke zero English, making basic communication impossible. Shocking Customer Service: - Water Policy & Rude Reception: We made two consecutive 2-night bookings and kept the same room. When asking for bottled water for the second booking, the receptionist flatly refused, saying Expedia bookings don't get water. When I noted we got two bottles initially, she shrugged and condescendingly said, "Well, lucky you." - Unprofessional Conduct: When I asked for a manager, both receptionists literally laughed in my face, said the manager was on vacation, and started mocking me in Spanish as I walked away. - Hostile Vibe: I watched staff reprimand another guest for drinking a second glass of water from the lobby dispenser, telling them in a rude tone, "You're only allowed one." Avoid this hotel. The staff are hostile, basic amenities are absent, and the lift is a safety hazard.

Excellent

The room was clean and well-maintained, had decent air conditioning, and the style of the whole hotel is fun. The rooftop in particular was great! The staff were kind and helpful, however, it should really be noted that this hotel is not staffed except during restricted daytime hours. A fire alarm went off at 7 am during my stay (nothing serious but we did all have to evacuate the hotel) and it was relatively hard to get in touch with staff to figure out how to contact authorities and stop the alarms. Still, I imagine this is a rare event and it otherwise was fine to have limited hours for the reception.

Not a 3 star, 2 at the most. Location is good though
