Galeria River Hotel is located in a great area and has a unique charm due to its historic building. The property's character and location are definitely its strongest points, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. However, travelers should be aware that the historic nature of the building also comes with some limitations. Unlike most modern American hotel chains, the hotel has no elevator (lift) and no air conditioning. Our room was located on the third floor, which meant carrying our check-in luggage and suitcases up several flights of stairs. This can be challenging, especially for families, older travelers, or anyone with heavy bags. The biggest issue during our stay was the lack of air conditioning. We visited during the summer, and the room became quite warm at night. As a result, we had difficulty sleeping and were uncomfortable throughout the night. While the historic atmosphere is appealing, it comes at the expense of some modern conveniences that many travelers may expect. Overall, if you appreciate historic properties and want a hotel in a good location, Galeria River Hotel may be a good choice. Just be prepared for a different experience than what you would typically find at major American hotel brands. The charm and location are excellent, but the absence of an elevator and air conditioning significantly impacted our comfort during the stay. Rating: 3/5 stars. The hotel is in a great location on a lovely street and very near the river. The staff were friendly and helpful.

My vacation was nearing the tail end when I stayed at this hotel. The room was very nice, comfortable, and decently appointed. Breakfast was very good but a little pricey. For the cost of the room, one would have thought it would be included.(I don't have the receipt in front of me, so I cannot say for sure). Having to pay for "ice cubes" I found to be somewhat petty. The other thing that was disturbing was that the "do not disturb" sign had been placed on the door when leaving and when arriving back at the room, housecleaning had entered our room, made the bed, emptied trash, opened the curtains, turned the air conditioning up, and did not replace towels. Firstly, they should not have been in the room, and secondly, if you are going to ignore the "do not enter" sign, then at least do a complete cleaning job. Needless to say, the "do not disturb" sign was then TAPED to our door so that there could not be a mistake as to what was expected.

Great location, super friendly staff, good breakfast, nice rooms

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Planinka. The hotel was immaculately clean, with excellent attention to detail throughout. Its location, next to the church and the river, is beautiful, with stunning scenery all around. The breakfast was exceptional, offering a wide variety of high-quality options. The room was comfortable and well equipped, with everything we needed for our stay. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making us feel genuinely well looked after. I would most definitely recommend Hotel Planinka and would happily stay here again.

We loved the room and the location! The host was fantastic and we had everything we needed for a fantastic stay.
