The staff were amazing, trying to find out the fine details that will make your stay comfortable, a big thanks to all the staff members,
Rooms and bathrooms are excellent, the spa makes your day and one of the best I have experienced in UK, great location, will be my only option to stay when I am in Glasgow in future.

I checked in at 10.00pm and was promptly dealt with at reception. The room was comfortable and spacious (single). I had a good night's sleep and the breakfast was excellent. Check-out was prompt and a taxi was ordered for me and was at the hotel within 3 minutes. Overall a great hotel.

We have visited Gleddoch twice before. Once before their renovations and once during the renovations so it was nice to return once all finished. It has been refurbished to a high standard and is a lovely hotel. The rooms are clean, stylish and spacious. The staff are pleasant. Our only complaint is the new pre-authorisation charge. We previously stayed in April and enjoyed it so much we booked in July to stay in the October school holidays with our children. Upon check in, we were asked to provide a card for a pre authorisation charge of £100 per night. Despite the fact we had paid in full in July for our accomodation. This was not fully explained to us and the staff member didn't seem to fully understand it either. When we realised this meant that £400 was now frozen in our account, we were confused and annoyed. My husband spoke to the manager who said it was in their terms and conditions. It was for any charges made to our room. We explained that we had not planned on spending all of our time in the hotel. My husband argued that as we had booked in July and these terms and conditions had only come into effect in September that we should have been made aware. The manager agreed to cancel the charges, however, it still took 3 days to clear and that money only became available to us on the day we checked out! It put a damper on our holiday as we had not budgetted for £400 not being available to us to spend that week. It basically doubled the cost of our holiday.

We absolutely loved the hotel, grounds and rooms and we could not find fault with anything in this respect. However, we were really disappointed that we were not able to get a reservation at any of the restaurants for the only evening we were staying at the hotel. This meant we had to go and find another restaurant else where. The hotel did manage to book us into the Claret Jug restaurant for Sunday lunch but when we arrived we were told the restaurant was closed of a private function. Again we had to go and find somewhere else for lunch. We were very disappointed and not the sort of service we would expect from a hotel of this calibre. We were advised that the restaurants book up very early in advance and that we should have pre-booked - having never visited the hotel before, we did not know this was the case and if this is indeed the norm, we really think the hotel should give people warning or perhaps send an email to advise about the restaurant bookings.

Have stayed at Pond Hotel many times - but this time was in room next to noisy "Hen Party". They came back at 3.30am and proceeded to scream and shout - totally oblivious to other guests who were obviously sleeping. Hotel staff did eventually come up and speak to them...but took a couple of trips before they finally calmed down. Appreciate bit difficult for hotels always to control this - but still frustrating for other guests.

Truly a wonderful hotel experience!
Attention to detail is amazing. A chaise with a mohair rug and down cushions to snuggle in and watch the big walled tv. Super comfy bed with feather pillows and duvet made for a deep and restful sleep. Excellent shower with lovely toiletries. The room feeling ambient and cosy, more like a home really. Staff were professional and welcoming.
Overall, one of the best hotel experiences I've had in the UK.

Renfrewshire contains much of Glasgow's commuter belt as well as the airport, and its roads are consequently often congested. The main town is Paisley, famous for its distinctive textile designs, no longer produced there, but represented in the Museum and Art Gallery. Paisley's Gilmour Street railway station is one mile from Glasgow airport terminal. The town is seven miles from Glasgow.
