Pros: The hotel staff was very accommodating. We were able to check in early (around 12 pm) at no additional cost. Breakfast buffet was delicious (scrambled eggs, veggie frittata, sausages, potatoes, fruit, pancakes, parfaits, overnight chia, oatmeal and cereal). Complimentary bottled water was available at the front desk. We received complimentary drink tickets. I also appreciated the staff provided us whole milk in the evening for our baby. The location is great, on the corner a cable car stop and because it’s on top of knob hill, it was a popular photo area. Cons: The facility could use some upgrading. The hallway carpets were dirty and while the room was clean it felt dated. The shower could use an update.

I was placed in a room with loud road traffic. I didnt sleep all night.

Ideal for the location!

It was a good hotel with a delicious restaurant and really great people. The only thing that frustrated me was that we bought an all-inclusive package but we were charged an “amenity fee”… that’s always super frustrating.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience at this hotel due to a complete lack of basic amenities and helpful service. My flight out of LA was late at night, well after the 11:00 AM checkout time. When I asked to leave my bags for a few hours, I was told that my luggage was "not their problem." Basic luggage storage is a standard service for almost any hotel. If a property does not offer it, that policy absolutely needs to be clearly advertised at the time of booking so guests can plan ahead. Because the hotel hid this information, I was forced to waste my precious last day in LA dragging my heavy bags all the way to a downtown storage facility at an extra, unexpected expense. The hotel's total lack of accommodation and dismissive attitude completely ruined the end of my trip. I will not be staying here again and strongly advise others to look elsewhere if you expect basic hospitality.

Close to the local areas

When I checked in, the room had not been properly cleaned and the air conditioning was not working. The hotel did address the cleanliness issue very well the next day, but on the first night I had to stay in the dirty room because there were no other rooms available. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was never fixed during my two-night stay. They did refund me for the first night and genuinely tried to help as much as they could, which I appreciated. I really liked the location. The hotel is very close to the ocean, and everything you need is nearby. Unfortunately, the beach was closed for swimming during my stay because of sewage contamination coming from Mexico, so we were not allowed to go into the water. Overall, despite the issues with the room and the air conditioning, I thought it was a nice and pleasant hotel with a great location.
