Staff was great, room was a bit smaller than expected but worked well for my family of 3. There was a hot water issue but fixed right away and one day we were left with no towels but again immediately corrected when we asked, brought up within 5 mins. I could see dust around the closet edges but the bed was always made and sheets clean. Also one of the elevators was broken which made a bit of longer wait at times. Great location to walk to seaport, midway little Italy or the convention center with a lot of restaurants. It was great to have parking available as well and not have to worry about that being downtown.

I had a smoke detector die in my room and start beeping around 8 at night. I called the front desk, they said maintenance was gone and they didn't know what to do. They first told me to take the battery out. I refused as I was not physically able to climb on the chair and reach the detector. Furthermore, it seems like a poor idea to instruct your guests to remove the batteries from safety equipment. I called again and pressed for an answer. They said there would be someone coming at 11 pm who could assist me and that they would call. By 11 :15 no one called so I rang the front desk again and they new staff had no idea what I was talking about but thankfully came to resolve the issue after about 20 minutes. No one offered to comp anything to address the issue. The first person I talked to was rude and unconcerned. The room itself was dirty, and paying the 500 dollars a night that I did, did not meet the standard I would expect. The front desk was often unmanned, the rooms were outdated, and plain the shuttle service offered by the hotel was not described to me at check in and they attempted to charge me for parking 3 separate times despite me having no car and writing as much on their check in forms. I stayed 2 nights and would consider it a disappointing experience at a quarter of the price. Shout out to the evening shift guy who came to help me. Everyone else, ranged from rude to indifferent. Indifference is inoffensive at 100 a night not 500.

The resort has a lot of amenities. The pool is nice and has shallow areas for kids and babies. However, peoples dogs were also in the pool. The access to the beaches was close and not overcrowded. There were small crustaceans that did bite in shallow water, not ideal for babies as it leaves welts and can causing minor bleeding. The hotel rooms overall were spacious, had good A/C and a comfortable bed. But the tiles in the bathroom had mold on the floor and the furniture was broken or water damaged. We did ask for a baby bed/pack n play and was told it was added to the reservation but upon checking in we did not have one, nor did we ever recieve one. If you order room service the food will come quickly but expect to pay a pretty penny, (nachos, salad, kids pizza and a dessert) cost over $120 and this included a $6 delievery fee plus 21% mandatory tip for kitchen staff, still expected to tip again for delievery. The restaurants on the water have a great view, and the morning café at tidal wave was a good option for a quick breakfast. When you arrive there is free public parking but if you bring a car you are told you have to pay $50 per day for assigned parking even if you ask to park in free parking. There is a $50 per day resort free plus taxes for transient, ca tourist and sd tourist. The garden view rooms give you a view of parked cars and bushes. Overall, if you're willing to pay for the more expensive rooms and stay longer than a few days it may be a better experience.

Our primary concern was that the area around our room was undergoing renovations, making it somewhat untidy. Additionally, the young woman who checked us in was openly chewing gum, which we found unprofessional and distracting.
