Great hotel. Way above the chain hotel stacompetition. Cedar Tree has more style, better rooms, especially the bathrooms, the onsen bath, and much more relaxing ambiance. The lighting in the onsen bath should be dimmed. It is too bright, and interferes with the relaxing effect.

Beautiful hotel with Japanese sensibilities in the design and layout. In one wing there’s an amazing restaurant and sake bar. On the other side of the lobby, the fitness center and onsen share a hall. It’s a clever design to prevent spa and gym guests from interacting with restaurant or bar goers.

We recently stayed at Cedartree while visiting Portland. This is the quietest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Usually hotels are so loud that I never get any sleep, but this hotel was so quiet. We didn’t hear anyone during our entire stay. The staff was all so nice & welcoming/helpful. Our kids loved staying here. The property seems new & has plenty of parking. I would definitely recommend a stay at Cedartree!

Very nice and calm environment for a vacation! The staff from the front of the building to the restaurant were attentive. Enjoyed a night stay in a King Suite, clean room, Japanese commode, and a nice modern tub/shower combination w/ a bench (the best part). The Japenese Garden was beautiful!!

You can enjoy hotel stay with Japanese omotenashi, friendly and helpful staffs, modern Japanese decoration, and of course, big public bath! I enjoyed this onsen-style bath every morning and night during my stay. The area around the hotel is very quiet and good for workation as well. Food is also great! I can't stop thinking of "sake tiramisu" after I'm back. Quality wise, it's very reasonable. Next time, I will definitely try Sake bar.

The rooms were perfect, beds comfy showers huge with comfy bathtub. The restaurant was delicious and the staff were very accommodating and kind. The theme was amazing and relaxing.
