The decor was very understated and calming, which was a soothing relief from the many hotels out there with overly flashy decor. The appointments and appliances were well placed and everything functioned well, which I cannot say for all hotels.
The only negative was that I requested a wheelchair to get my partner out to the car at checkout because with advanced Parkinson's, she had a bout of immobility and could barely move. I did manage to get her out to the car using her walker, but it was exhausting and very stressful, causing our stay to end on a bit of a sour note. There are many potential situations where having a wheelchair would be of great help to some older infirm person struggling with a momentary affliction, as long as the hotel sends a staff person along to make sure the wheelchair comes back. A lot of older people travel to AZ.
