Hilariously terrible

Oh man, Room 135 smelled like the worst public restroom I've ever been in. I would bet any amount of money that someone or something died in there recently, with all the chemicals stinging my nostrils the whole time. Sleeping in that stench was really horrible. I'm not a smoker myself, but y'all gotta let people smoke in there, just to cover it up with something less offensive. Sheesh. I was looking at the pictures of the rooms y'all show on the website just laughing at how completely unrecognizable they are compared to reality. I don't know why I expected more from a Motel 6, I probably just expected more from what Hotels.com would list as a viable option, but my bad, that's on me, and never again.

We checked in Friday evening at 6. There was 1 person and she was struggling. She said it was her third day on the job and no one else was there to help her. It took 40 minutes to check in. The property shows very well when you arrive. The stairwell to the 2nd floor was clear, however the area when it connected to the floor was rusted and the was curled and a tripping hazard. The pool area was very nice, clean, well attended, nice furniture for seating. The room was dated, grout was black in tub area, went to call about the tv and the phone didn't work, curtain was about 3 inches shy of covering the entire window. Lastly our keys expired every night and had to be renewed each day- it was a pain.

Do not reccomend this hotel. They gave our room away even though it was paid for and they told us there was no other rooms available. The employee stated that we were the fourth people that day to have there room given away after booking. When asked for manager information they would not give out a managers name or email.

Pros: affordable, surprisingly clean, and safe Cons: having a severe allergy to cigarette smoke that can be lethal, even from just the chemicals stuck on the walls and furnishings, I specifically booked a non smoking room which was not available upon check in. They tried putting me in a smoking room. After some time discussing with my partner we had no choice but to look at the smoking room to see if there was a smell or we'd have had to pay double someplace else which we were not financially prepped to do. Just as we were internet searching a room a suddenly became available. We were not told the rooms were still being cleaned or asked if we wanted to wait. We were led to believe they were over booked. That could've been handled much more professionally. I will stay here again, bc of the value and cleanliness of the rooms, I hope there are no further issues moving forward.

Could probably have done better for the money

The floor of the room was filthy. The bathroom door couldn't be secured in a closed position because the striker plate needed adjustment. The aerator on the sink faucet put out a powerful spray of water that satuated eveything within a 2 foot radius, including my clothing.

Noisy, smoking

This place noisy in middle at night, people back-forth, also smoking, alot gheto. However I like the bed, is like air bed eventhough little bit sinking. Friendly receptionist. I don't think they ever map the floor, my feet getting very dirty at room walk around with bare feet.

Cockroaches and junkies, I first came to Phoenix in 1969. I stayed in this hotel. It has not been updated since that time. The mattresses were terrible and the faucet in the bathroom sink was made of plastic and sprayed all over the place. The keys didn’t work and everything was broken.

Please never rent here

The guy at the counter was very, very rude and very sarcastic. The room was very old while in the advertisement the placed looked much decent. The bed board fell as soon as I sat on the bed, the outlets didn't work, the only one that worked was the one underneath the TV. Tub look ugly. Curtains were hanging, not a pretty sight at all. They were short on towels so I called and asked for another set, they gave us "off color towels", I forgot to take a picture of it, but my sister had to walk to the office to get them because on the phone they said there was no one in the office. When my roommate went to get the towels she said there was plenty of people behind the counter. My God the entry door looked like it was beat up, but it lock. I can't believe HOTELS.COM would brand their name with THIS hotel. With the guy being the way he was I didn't think he would be nice to return my money so I didn't bother, we just made the best of it. I re-sanitized everything. The bed was comfortable but not like 100%. Didn't realize but I saw a stain on the sheet when I was covering the bed when we were leaving....ugh.
