Parking fees absurd, owner clearly doesn’t care much about repeat business. You don’t make friends with unnecessary fees. Parking lot is enormous and not very secure so there’s no reason to be charging motel guests for it. Other motels around Canberra haven’t charged me for parking so it feels like a weak cash grab. Room far from immaculate couch stained and some questionable stains on the floor. Lights from the parking lot beamed in through balcony window and balcony had zero privacy. Not the fault of the motel but the field behind the parking lot was being back burned by the fire service which made the whole area very smoky, problematic for my asthma and not something I was warned about by the staff. Saw one of the staff dumping a microwave into one of the recycle bins… as a fan of recycling that really rubbed me the wrong way. Overall it’s fine really but I’d pick somewhere else next time for sure.

We recently had a four night stay in a Studio Room. This is not a Five Star hotel but met with all our expectations. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and had everything we needed and the price was reasonable. The shower over the bath could be a problem for elderly guests but we were able to handle it with caution. Reception staff were always cheerful and it was no problem to obtain additional fresh towels, tea, coffee etc. It is central to City Walk and Civic/Central shopping centers and nearby restaurants. It was a walkable distance to the War Memorable and Floriade even though a free shuttle bus was provided to see the flowers. We would certainly stay here again.

Clean room, close to golf course.

Great location for access to Australian National University and walking distance from Canberra Bus Interchange. Comfortable and quiet location but undergoing renovations so limited access to food/dining in immediate vicinity. Lovely walks around the lake and parkland.
