Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at hotel Don Nino. Service was excellent. Room (comfort studio) was large and clean. Hot water worked well. We did not use the kitchen facilities so cannot comment but seemed well stocked. Location was excellent - very busy park across the street and right on the corner of the centro area of Oaxaca. Felt very safe. Only negative was that the room did not have a safe.

Really friendly and helpful receptionists. Allowed us to check in early, were patient when we couldn't figure out how to use the safe and made a real effort to help us find the place we wanted to eat. They provide free drinking water from a garafon. The location is nice and it is close to the bus station for Mexico City and Tuxtla. The main down side is that none of the windows look out onto the street.

I loved that it was close enough to the Centro but yet quiet near Parque Llano. I stayed here previously and assumed that it was still a hostel where I could cook and enjoy the breakfast but they have converted it to hotel. Disappointed in that aspect
