Enjoyed stay. Will visit again

Hi! I'm rating the room on the poor side because my air conditioning wasn't functioning appropriately for my stay. I was offered another room, but it was very inconvenient to move because I was so busy with work throughout my days and most of my evenings.

Room was noisy. As walls were very thin. Could hear our neighbours TV perfectly well. Woken up early in the morning to the sound of music. Pool and furniture was dirty, and deck was peeling. Furniture was worn out . Needs some maintenance. It was also quite far from downtown although we were expecting to be staying closer to the historic District as that’s where it showed up in our Expedia search. Our mistake for not double checking. This is a hotel that portrays itself as higher end. But it has some work to do.

Our stay at The Joule has been exceptional from beginning to end. What has impressed me most has been the people. The level of care shown to my mother has gone far beyond what I expected. Every member of the staff has treated her with genuine warmth, dignity, and attentiveness. They found thoughtful ways to make her birthday special, from the unique gifts waiting in her room to the sincere way they greeted her each time she came and went. What truly stood out was their anticipation. Whether she needed recommendations, transportation, or assistance with her plans to explore downtown museums, the staff seemed to be thinking ahead before she even had to ask. That level of hospitality is rare and is what transforms a great hotel stay into a memorable experience. The facilities themselves continue to be outstanding. Even with construction taking place in the lobby, the experience never felt diminished. The elegance, service, and attention to detail that define The Joule remained evident throughout our stay. I also want to recognize Colette, whose thoughtful communication before my mother’s arrival set the tone for the entire visit. She took the time to learn my mother’s preferences in advance, and it was clear that the entire team acted on those details. That kind of personalized hospitality leaves a lasting impression.
