"Nice hotel, close to the beach. "
We stayed for 5 nights with our son in a triple room, which was as we had expected it to be from the hotel web site. There were nice views from the windows and the hotel was a short walk (5 mins) from the beach. The staff were very friendly and able to offer advice on what to see/ visit locally.

"Consistently good."
We always stay here when taking the ferry to and from Ouistreham. It is consistently clean and tidy and the staff are very friendly, speaking both French and English. The beds are big and comfortable and the rooms have air conditioning and tea making facilities. As a bonus, the restaurant next door is excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

"Great Hotel, just consider........."
The hotel was excellent, clean, the staff spoke good enough English to understand and were patient enough for my French. The room was clean and spacious (3 bedrooms) and they were (very) comfortable. The one thing that was very odd was the bathroom, since we were on the top floor and the pitch of the roof there was an angle to the ceiling, which in turn made it impossible to shower (I'm 6'2") instead I had to sit in the tub to wash up. The hotel restaurant was very nice, we had breakfast in the morning the croissants were incredible and the fresh squeezed orange juice was as fresh as you can get ( you put the oranges in yourself). Some of the things to consider, the hotel from the Caen train station is about a 30 minute car/taxi ride (€55), and the bus takes well over an hour with multiple stops. The sun sets late (11pm) and the restaurants close early @ 1000. Doesn't sound like much but you will lose track of the time because the sun stays up and will miss dinner if you are not careful. The Juno Beach museum is a 5 minute walk, there are a number of things to see outside of the museum (pillboxes, cannons, bunkers, etc... It was well worth the walk to see it, and step back in history. Being this was our first time to the Normandy coast, we didn't realize the expanse of the beaches, you will need to taxi or drive up the coast to see Utah and Omaha if you stay here. Overall I would stay here again, but would rent a car near the train station to get around.

"Basic but ideal for Cylists. Convenient for Ferry."
Pros. Perfect for small cycling groups who want to take in the excellent military sites. eg. The Grand Bunker Museum, Pegasus bridge, Gondree Cafe, Airbourne museum and the Merville Battery. There is a cycle path along the beach and canal all the way to Pegasus Bridge and Caen, avoiding all main roads. Friendly receptionist but no English spoken. Easy parking. Convenient for Ferry Port. Cons. The breakfast were disappointing. A choice of 1 cereal, no hot food apart from toast, yoghurt, fruit salad, cheese but no meat. No shops or restaurants within walking distance.

"Nice out of the way inn."
This is a lovely inn in a very small town not far from the ocean and the northern Normandy beaches. It was a very peaceful location from which to begin and end our days of sightseeing. The breakfasts were very nice and the proprietress was welcoming. The yard around the inn was good place for a picnic.

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Normandy Landing Beaches, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Normandy Landing Beaches hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
