"Enjoyed our stay"
We spent 2 nights here and it was a great choice. We had a lovely view out to Magnetic Island. The room was clean and the beds comfy. The renovation noise was actually fine and didn't worry us - however they did say noise wouldn't start until 9am but on both mornings there was some soft hammering from 7am - it was clear the person was trying to hammer slowly and quietly but it still reverberated through the walls. We enjoyed the $10 meals at the casino and they were very good value. It was about 5 mins walk to the ferry terminal and the bus stop for buses into town. I found getting in and out of the shower a bit dangerous as the shower is within a bath and the door is a bit small - also the floor of the bath wasn't flat on the underlying concrete so moved as I walked on it. There was a handrail to hang onto as I climbed in but I still felt vulnerable. As a guide I'm small, normal weight and quite fit so I think it could be quite dangerous for some. My 18 year old son also commented that he found it a bit awkward. Not sure if it was a renovated room or not. Our room was 1020. I would stay here again as it really suited our needs.

"Excellent hotel apartments, close to the city."
The first night, we were in a room that caught a lot of road noise. There was no issue with moving us on request. The room for the rest of our stay was excellent with a great view.

"Magnetic island best budget place to stay at"
Before we got to this place we drove for about 5 hours pretty tired only just made the boat I had pre bought my ticket didn't think to take down ref number girl at desk kept asking for it I said 3 times I didn't have she finally looked me up and we got onto the boat to magnetic island. Get over to magnetic island I was quiet amazed. Really good set up buses nearby as well as hire car places as I found out after I got to place I was staying at. However when you get to island there isn't much info on where to get bus tickets thanks to a young girl she said you buy them on the bus all good. Once we got on the bus all I have to say is organise a hire car before catching the bus unless you have to most drivers are grumpy as or inpatient. Anyway about the venue all I can say is that the owner there is such a nice lady she was most helpful went out of her way and above and beyond my expectations thanks for that. The only real negative were the pool hours the shower head was a little. The staff at the local were also very friendly meals are cheap expect charge a bit to much for some vegetables. Drink prices are also a little pricey. Toad races were funny. Some of the locals are a bit rude though. Rock wallabies are cute as. I hired a car from rooftop hire they were cool but go for a 4wd one from here or from hire place near hotel.

"Beautiful 3 bedroom unit overlooking the Marina"
We stayed in an executive 3 bedroom unit which had a lovely balcony view overlooking the marina and mountains. The unit was a great size. The pool here is absolutely amazing, it would have to be 100m long and heated to perfect temperature. We ate at the restaurant 2 nights and food was delicious and staff were attentive and friendly. Would recommend to anyone visiting Magnetic Island, it made our stay on this beautiful island even better.

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Nelly Bay, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Nelly Bay hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
