We had a really nice stay at the bungolow with a beautiful outlook over the lagoon! Would love to stay there again! We could use the kayaks and peddle easy to muri beach , a beautiful spot for swimming , snorkeling and paddle boarding!

I holidayed on my own so wanted my own space but not to be isolated in an individual Villa so I chose a resort. I had been to Raro twice but had not stayed at the Rarotongan.
My initial room had a very closed in aspect but management very happily moved me to a different location the next morning. The new room was identical but a much more open aspect. In my initial room the hairdryer didn't work but maintenance was there within 5 minutes with an electrician right behind to put in a whole new unit. All good service.
The breakfast was great but the menu a bit mundane. I found some basic cafes out and about with great food. Cocktails were yum and beachfront mini buras very cool.
Adults can walk through to the Sanctuary area to enjoy that pool and bar if they wish.
I found communication to guests not too good. The internet went out whic didn't worry me but, although there was a daily newsletter, I saw no official notification of it until I spotted a sign at reception.
Some of the staff were great especially the Fijian bar staff, but the others sadly seemed a bit stale and tired of having to look after the visitors to their country. This was general outside the community as well and good, friendly service was sadly the acception. Maybe as I train customer service staff I am particularly observant of this.
Overall it is a great relaxing place with many options on a good beach.
Highlight was spotting whales 3 nights in a row directly in front of hotel!

We have just returned from a wonderful week long retreat at the sea change villas.
Kudos to the team that Beverley and Craig have put together in this little slice of paradise, they were all very welcoming, approachable and professional in all of our dealings with them and can't recommend them enough.
The executive villa itself was private, very spacious, well furnished and comfortable. The outside area is secluded, well laid out and makes for an easy transition from ocean to pool.

Lovely clean comfortable villas. Shannon was a great host very friendly.
We were a bit disappointed on the second day the pool sprung a leak so was unusable for the whole time we were there and that was the whole point of booking the villa also the builders ladder to get into the pool was a bit unsafe for older people and there are builders on the property which can be quite noisy with skill saws and hammers. These were the only 2 draw backs, otherwise a fantastic place. Beds and pillows very comfortable, slept really well and had lots of hot water. Nice relaxing place

On the southeastern tip of the island of Rarotonga, Muri Beach is an archetypal South Pacific getaway. Palm trees adorn powder-white beaches, and beachgoers often quench their island thirst with fresh coconut milk. Snorkelers and divers find this area to be a particular favorite, as its protected lagoon coastline and turquoise waters are home to a vast array of coral and marine life.
