The Vi Vadi staff were brilliant, kind and informative. Rooms are comfy and kept really clean. The location is excellent, you are so close to the centre of Munich and off course the main train station is just round the corner. I would definitely re-book with the Vi Vadi

We were on our honeymoon. The hotel was great and the staff was friendly. It is in a great location near everything. We were on foot during our stay and we walked everywhere. I would recommend this hotel.

Stayed 2 nights after arriving from Prague at Hauptbanhof (main train stn). Location was great for train station, but main Bayerstreasse street to town was somewhat sketchy (didnt' feel unsafe, though). 15-20 minute walk into main city square, Hofbrau Haus. Free morning breakfast was substantial and very good. Front desk staff seemed a bit condescencing toward non-German speakers that we were. Overall, value was good for Munich, but in the future, I would look elsewhere if we were not coming into and going out of Haptbanhof.

Just west of the old town, the area around the main station is crammed with hotels and pedestrian areas filled with shops. Further north is the city's museum district, which is home to the Alte and Neue Pinakothek, the Pinakothek der Moderne, the restored Glypothek, the Museum of Antiquities, and the Lenbachhaus, which exhibits the work of Bavarian painter Franz von Lenbach.
