"Very relaxing, no unnecessary noices."
Placed on a hill far from any type of road; this, actually, makes it impossible to visit the town and see local artesanies and the oportunity to see, markets, restaurants and dancing places. The cost of the hotel fare ($35.00 a head) seemed to me, excesive. Overall, excellent.

"Best resort in Roatan"
Our stay at Barefoot Cay Resort was an awesome experience. It was very quiet and very romantic. We felt welcomed before we even got to Roatan. As soon as I booked our vacation Stephanie from the resort was in contact with me. Over the months before our trip we e-mailed back and forth to make sure our trip was everything we were hoping for. We upgraded to the bungalow and Stephanie did all she could to get us the best rate for the upgrade, which she did, and we were very glad we upgraded it made our stay even more romantic. As soon as we landed at the airport we were treated by several very nice people, our driver from the hotel was waiting for us outside the door so we did not have to worry about transportation and try to find the resort, however it is very simple to get to. We were given a tour and a complimentary rum punch which was very yummy. Then we were brought to our room and our luggage was in the room when we got there. We were very impressed with the bungalow, the breeze coming in the windows was heavenly, we came from Minnesota and you cannot open the windows this time of year and just relax so this was wonderful for us. We were given a complimentary cell phone to use for our stay which was great cause our cell phones did not work there, wifi is also complimentary so you can keep in touch with all the social media, also e-mails ect... we had a small mishap with our fridge but it was replaced immediately and we we given a free dessert. This is an awesome resort.

"Splash Inn never disappoints!"
I have stayed at Splash Inn 6 times now and the stay was better than ever. The hotel offers the best stay for the money. Of course you can stay 6x more per night and have a pool or other knickknacks. But if you need a hotel that is clean, has everything you need, friendly staff, well maintained and is at in great location, look no further. I was upgraded since I have stayed at the hotel a few times and got a room with a fridge, which was quite large. The room was clean, had a safe, the beds were very comfortable, the AC worked well and had plenty of hangers for my clothes. I never turned on the TV, since I either go scuba diving, enjoy the bars or the beaches. The room also came with a breakfast buffet, which in other hotels would set you back another $15 per person. The breakfast had everything a scuba diver needs from eggs, bacon, fruit, bread, cereal etc. Of course if you need a fancy custom tailored omelette; please stay at the $300 / night room elsewhere and pay $20 for the omelette. The new ownership is adding features left and right. But, the staff has been outstanding from the first time I stayed there 2 years ago until now. The food at the restaurant is great too. And we had the special private dinner at the end of the dock with our own waiter. It was a memorable experience and set up beautifully. I will go there again and again.

"Great Beach front location!"
We just returned from our trip to Roatan, where we stayed at Infinity Bay. It was a great lodging location and the rooms are condo style as apposed to a regular hotel room. We had a full kitchen, a very large deck with ocean views. The staff was beyond friendly and accomodating to our needs! We were a group of four, and we enjoyed staying at Infinity Bay! The beach is beautiful with soft sand, and the pool was nice and relaxing with a swim up bar! The restaurant at the pool was delicious! We will definitely stay at this property again!

"Perfection"
I booked my trip to Roatan last minute. Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Guava Grove is near Sandy Beach and only a short taxi ride to West End and West Bay. Cheryl is super nice and made sure I was ok the entire time I was there. The swim-up bar is also really cool.

"Calm quiet far away from crowds"
I had a lovely 10 day stay here. Very quiet and far away from the resort scene of west bay and the bar scene of west end, but a short drive if i was feeling that. Take one of Barb's yoga seminars if theres one happening, and definely go kayaking/snorkeling. I used blue island divers, they are amazibg, 5 minutes away, and they can pick you up on the dock if you dont have a car. Delish food/drinks when i didnt want to go out for food, I lovved the granola bars, it was a nice treat between dives. So quiet and calm, and the place works actively to protect the mangroves at the bottom of the property and by extension, the beautiful marine preserve, which has such great marine life.

"Las Rocas rocks!"
Las Rocas is a comfortable hotel and diving resort. It is quiet and just steps away from the much louder West Bay Beach. I stayed with my two boys for 8 days to explore the reef. We completed the Open Water diving course under Laura's expert instruction and my older son continued to complete the Advanced Open Water diving course. The diving took us to various nearby points on the reef. The prices seemed reasonable. We enjoyed snorkeling from the resort and from points along West Bay beach. We ate most of our meals at the hotel which offered simple, typical island food. There are many places to eat and drink nearby, no need for a car. The water taxis stop at the hotel and can take you to West End. The room was cleaned daily. We had a great time. I first visited the island 22 years ago when it was fairly primitive. Today the West End and West Bay are developed and the extensive reef is maybe 30% bleached. Much of the soft coral and all of the anemone are gone. It is still beautiful. You need to see it while you can.

Mud Hole is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Mud Hole, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Mud Hole hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
