"Best resort in Roatan"
Our stay at Barefoot Cay Resort was an awesome experience. It was very quiet and very romantic. We felt welcomed before we even got to Roatan. As soon as I booked our vacation Stephanie from the resort was in contact with me. Over the months before our trip we e-mailed back and forth to make sure our trip was everything we were hoping for. We upgraded to the bungalow and Stephanie did all she could to get us the best rate for the upgrade, which she did, and we were very glad we upgraded it made our stay even more romantic. As soon as we landed at the airport we were treated by several very nice people, our driver from the hotel was waiting for us outside the door so we did not have to worry about transportation and try to find the resort, however it is very simple to get to. We were given a tour and a complimentary rum punch which was very yummy. Then we were brought to our room and our luggage was in the room when we got there. We were very impressed with the bungalow, the breeze coming in the windows was heavenly, we came from Minnesota and you cannot open the windows this time of year and just relax so this was wonderful for us. We were given a complimentary cell phone to use for our stay which was great cause our cell phones did not work there, wifi is also complimentary so you can keep in touch with all the social media, also e-mails ect... we had a small mishap with our fridge but it was replaced immediately and we we given a free dessert. This is an awesome resort.

"Very relaxing, no unnecessary noices."
Placed on a hill far from any type of road; this, actually, makes it impossible to visit the town and see local artesanies and the oportunity to see, markets, restaurants and dancing places. The cost of the hotel fare ($35.00 a head) seemed to me, excesive. Overall, excellent.

"Recommended resort within steps of the beach "
We knew when we booked this resort that its target market is scuba divers. That was not an issue for us. We were happy with the overall room, however it was loud in the evenings when we were ready to rest. Entertainment ended at 9:00 pm. That is early enough, but just even relaxing on the hammock was not possible as the bands and karaoke was really loud. The room is not really beach side either. I was expecting to step out onto the beach, have the ocean steps away, and hear the surf at night. We may try another room next time and see if this makes a difference as far as the noise. Walking up and down the beach proved that no resort has rooms that are truly beach side or perhaps they all are. This just did not meet my expectations. However, complementary breakfast every day was very good and service good most of the time. Depended on the staff and the day. Got the impression that is similar everywhere on the island. Wifi spotty.

Las Rocas Resort And Dive Center

West Bay Beach, Roatan - Map
"Las Rocas rocks!"
Las Rocas is a comfortable hotel and diving resort. It is quiet and just steps away from the much louder West Bay Beach. I stayed with my two boys for 8 days to explore the reef. We completed the Open Water diving course under Laura's expert instruction and my older son continued to complete the Advanced Open Water diving course. The diving took us to various nearby points on the reef. The prices seemed reasonable. We enjoyed snorkeling from the resort and from points along West Bay beach. We ate most of our meals at the hotel which offered simple, typical island food. There are many places to eat and drink nearby, no need for a car. The water taxis stop at the hotel and can take you to West End. The room was cleaned daily. We had a great time. I first visited the island 22 years ago when it was fairly primitive. Today the West End and West Bay are developed and the extensive reef is maybe 30% bleached. Much of the soft coral and all of the anemone are gone. It is still beautiful. You need to see it while you can.

Pristine Bay Resort

Calle Principal de Roatan, Roatan - Map
"Spring Break 2017"
Our experience at Pristine Bay was an excellent one! The accommodations were perfect for my family of 5, grounds were beautiful, and staff was friendly. Our first villa has some construction going on next door (unknown to staff as this was a privately owned villa) and the staff at Pristine were very considerate in moving us to a quieter location. A trip to Eldon's Supermarket made the week easier to have fruit, veggies, snacks, and drinks available. The driver Pristine had coordinated for us, Luis, had incredible customer service. My family usually stays at larger all-inclusive resorts and this was a refreshing and welcomed change. Only complaint is the sand flies down by the beach. We were bit but didn't notice until afterwards and they were itchy. We had brought along an all natural lemon and eucalyptus bug spray which seemed to work to keep them away once we applied it. We stayed in a villa on Royal Palms Drive overlooking the golf course where the sand flies were not a problem.

Roatan is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Roatan, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Roatan hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
