Staff was very friendly. Rooms seemed relatively clean other than what seemed like dog slobber on the bottom of the window. The lobby and room had a bad stale, weird smell. We debated on whether or not we wanted to stay, but we were in town for an event and there weren't other options. The mattress was not very comfortable. Our room was close to a side door, which was convenient, but the hallway had a smell of cigarette smoke which we could also smell occasionally by the door in our room. We did not eat breakfast, it was a pretty meager selection and the condition of the hotel was a turn off. When we walked out the door to leave there was a strong smell of what smelled like dog poop. Parking was good.

It's a cheap hotel, and you will experience that. Room was clean enough, but there are no bells or whistles and it just barely met our standards. Bathroom door lock didn't work. The pool area was kind of gross and there was way too much chlorine. Dead beetle in the hot tub. Breakfast was pretty standard, but on the poor side. They were out of coffee by 9:00 and took a long time to refill it. We needed a roll-away bed and they had a hard time understanding what we wanted, but they eventually found a bedroll mat and that worked for us. It's a place to sleep in a small town and we didn't feel unsafe, but it feels kind of run-down and hasn't had the attention it needs.

The staff and especially Stacey, were very accommodating and wonderful during our unplanned stay in Grand Forks. Gave us shopping, restaurant and activities ideas that were in walking and biking distance while we were waiting for our vehicle to be repaired. Smaller hotel so can get more personalized treatment. Hot tub was the right temperature but the pool was a little on the cool side. Room was very clean and tidy and spacious, thank you Stacy! Breakfast had a good variety of food and drinks to choose from both hot and cold. Would definitely recommend.

The breakfast was extremely disappointing. The lack of security was evident as there were several seedy characters wandering in and out of the lobby. Not impressed.
