This was excellently situated. The staff greeted me warmly, and the room was spotless and well-equipped with all essentials. The happy hour was a great bonus. I highly recommend staying at the RIU and hope to return soon.

Our stay at the Rui was excellent. It was so clean, well maintained and the staff were so friendly. The breakfast was excellent as well. I would definately recommend staying there, because the location was perfect.

Photos of the venue are completely false and misleading. The hotel is under renovation and our experience was awful from beginning to end. Rude, unaccommodating and unprofessional front desk staff, including the manager. We paid for premium rooms but were downgraded to regular rooms with no refund accommodations. Elevators, hallways and rooms were like a scene from the public housing section of the Cecil Hotel. Everything in the room looked original from when the hotel was first built. AC in room wasn't working so we called maintenance. It took a while for him to arrive, but he was fast, efficient and so apologetic for the condition of the hotel ... He was the only positive experience I had with this hotel.

Very nice and updated hotel; like the location - would def stay again

After booking months in advance on check-in we were to our “booked” room was not available for the first night! The room we were assigned was “one” star at best -! noisy, blinds torn and one blind didn’t work, shortage of towels and one bed instead of two. Way too costly for the amenities given.

The staff was helpful and accommodating. There were some maintenance issues with our room, but after talking with the manager everything was fixed and taken care of to our satisfaction. The location is excellent for access to the subway, Central Park, and a lot of sights and restaurants.
