The slate is a lovely hotel ,cosy and comfortable .the reception is welcoming and clean and there's a lovely log burner in the bar that gives the plase an atmospheric smell. The Bulkeley Hotel
Faded Victorian excellence trying to satisfy today's tourists and not quite managing it (building is over 190 years old). Our double room was more like a single room. Buffet breakfasts Ok, dinners no more than average. Car parking difficult!
