Hotel was roomy and adequate. A bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Large rooms were nice and rare on our travels in Scotland.

"Lovely hotel with good food and facilities"
We enjoyed 3 nights at the hotel in July 2017. It was very clean and tidy and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. We were an a B&B rate but also ate in the restaurant on two of the evenings. All the food was freshly cooked to a high standard including at breakfast.

"Very pleasant hotel, in a lovely setting. "
Once past the initial entrance to the hotel things looked up. This area requires urgent updating, ramp to main door far too steep. Staff excellent, very professional and helpful. Facilities excellent, pool and leisure area exceptionally clean. Restaurant very good. Only complaint was of the occupants in the room above us, who seemed to have clogs on at 02.30am !! And proceeded to dance around the room for a period of time.

"A touch of class"
Hotel staff were very accomodating from a last minute booking. The staff were very helpful and approachable. The room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. Bonus was that there were sufficient power plugs in the room to cater for numerous devices. Short walk to central Glasgow and bar and restaurant within the premises were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

"Nice hotel - central location"
Overall, I was happy with my stay at the Hilton - Glasgow. The hotel is very nice, good breakfast buffet in the morning, rooms were spacious and clean (very spacious by European standards) and bathroom was spacious as well! My only small complaint with the hotel is that its in a strange location to walk to/from. There's no real 'walk area' out of the hotel, and to get to the city center, you need to either walk up a huge flight of stairs, or down a back entry way for cars. It is very centrally located to different parts of the city and the front desk staff is always happy to call you a cab if needed. I did have a terrible experience in booking my room through Expedia - the description for the number of beds for the family room was incorrect (looks like this has since been fixed) - I booked this room thinking it had 2 actual beds, but it actually had one bed and one pullout couch. After spending HOURS on the phone with Expedia and the Hilton, I was told that I had successfully changed my booking to a Deluxe room with 2 double beds, and got an email confirmation showing the change. Upon arriving at the hotel, they had my reservation as the Family Room still. The hotel staff was unable to move us to the appropriate room and helped us by providing 2 cots and free breakfast and wifi. I'm very disappointed in the service I received from the Expedia staff and that it still resulted in an error. I am glad to see that they fixed the error so hopefully no one goes through this again!

Brilliant reception staff who arranged for my clothes to be washed quickly and free of charge after I came off worse from arguing with a pavement. All staff excellent. Bedroom main lighting not good in our room and bathroom lighting poor. Bedside lights v good Bedroom chairs good for sitting in and excellent Freeview HD TV coverage. But no public sitting areas that were not part of the Bar.

"Short break away"
This was a very impressive building, felt like I was staying in a castle. It has recently been refurbished to a very high standard and the bed was so comfortable. it was unfortunate that wifi was only available on the ground floor at the reception. My husband required a gluten free diet and I called the hotel in advance to warn them but they still didn't have gluten free breakfast cereal or sausages. Also the set meal in the dining room at night was a problem so we decided to eat out instead. The staff were all really nice and friendly. The hotel was only a short walk from the ferry and the town so a car is not needed although there are a lot of stairs up to the front of the hotel. I can recommend this hotel.

Largs is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Largs, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Largs hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
