"Good hotel, walking distance to a lot"
I liked the hotel, however I wish they put the thought that my next hotel put into their guests. The next hotel asked about anticipated arrival times so that the earliest arrivals would be able to check in early as their rooms would be cleaned in order of priority. While I understand the check in time is 3pm, it would seem that the airlines aren't as flexible with their arrival time, and being that I can't sleep on planes, I was overly exhausted when I tried to check in (about noon), and again when I tried to check in at actual check in time, and my room wasn't ready. They upgraded my room so that I was able to check in, but it felt like I was being inconvenient by them doing so. It was a nice room. Great bathroom, however the only light that was burnt out was the one I would have needed for getting ready (the center bathroom light). There are way too many light switches, and the American outlet didn't work. There was a part on the marble that you could tell they hadn't invested in the proper cleaning materials, as it was covered in glass rings. The bed needed a sheet. It had a"fitted" sheet, which was just a flat sheet tucked over the mattress, and a comforter, but it didn't have the regular flat sheet and I'm a hot sleeper who sleeps better under a cover (at my house, my comforter stays on the floor in summer and I sleep under the flat sheet). Loved the spa, wished I had went there earlier. I would have been in there every morning and night!

"Nice hotel close to station"
Asked for a two double bed room, which we got but they also had a pull out couch, which we did not need. I left a note to housekeeping, stating that we did not need it and they did not put it away. Also, housekeeping did not replace the shampoo and conditioners once they were used. While it was clean there were just a few things that could have made it better.

"charming Glasgow comfort and hospitality"
The staff went way above the norm for me, their patience with me as a solo traveler, and first time in Glasgow was very considerate. I enjoyed my stay so much and felt safe and secure. Enjoyed a couple of meals there which were excellent. I can't applaud the staff enough - they were outstanding and comparable to any 5 star accommodation I have stayed in. Highly recommend this lovely hotel!

"Beautiful old hotel building gutted for 21stC comf"
Great old mansion on great Loch Lomond location. Luxurious room and fine pub dinner and breakfast. Since our stay was at the end of a three-week tour of fine hotels in Scotland, I'd say that value for money is less than ideal for this level. And the hotel feels slightly institutional and thus unchRming because it seems so huge.

"The place to stay in Luss"
You must visit and stay in the quaint, historic village of Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond. This community of 120 locals blends buildings of a different time with modern life and a rich Scottish village culture, which is palpable despite the large number of visitors. Loch Lomond Arms provides am excellent place to stay, dine, refresh & relax.

"Quiet Country Hotel"
We had a one night stay in a family room at Gleddoch Country Club on our way north on our annual holiday. I can recommend this hotel because it was quiet, clean and in a beautiful country setting overlooking the Firth of Clyde. It was a good start to our holiday. It was especially appreciated being able to accommodate our dog at the hotel.

Balmaha is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Balmaha, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Balmaha hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
