Bit of a mix up over breakfast. Was sure I had ticked that box at time of booking and cost did go up from basic room price however on arrival we were not booked in for breakfast. Unfortunately my online receipt did not mention breakfast so just had to do without and go elsewhere. So would screen shot my entire booking process in future. Other than that I have no complaints. Room was clean and comfortable. Minor grumble - only 2 teabags and coffee sachets, could’ve done with a couple more. Shower pressure was brilliant and nice complementary toiletries. Big bottles so less plastic waste than the usual small one use bottles. Just remembered another wee grumble! 😂 only 1 USB charge point at side of bed so only one of us could charge at bedside. The UK plug point was also at that same side so even with a charging plug my phone was across the room from me. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the complimentary cocktail on arrival was most welcome. The hotel is undergoing a refit externally and scaffolding was almost at our window which looked on to the OVO multi-storey car park so was expecting quite a bit of noise but was so quiet!! Very pleasant surprise! All in all this would definitely be my go to hotel for concerts/exhibitions at OVO or SECC.

Great check in. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Only 2 very small issues, we had 3 of us in the room and the sofa bed was still assembled as a sofa on arrival. Would have been nice if that had been left out fresh for us. The duvet was just squished back into the sofa. The room was very warm and the air conditioning is preset with instructions to switch off and open windows if too warm but that didnt help much. Apart from that excellent stay and would recommend.

We were pleasantly surprised on many levels with our stay at Moxy. Early check in, late check out, full showers, easy bag storage, friendly staff. I have a very restrictive diet and their complimentary breakfast offered far more options than I normally have access to. Fantastic experience!

Great hotel in a decent location. Modern comfortable rooms. Not huge but adequate. Soundproofing could be improved as I could hear the TV in one of the adjacent rooms late at night but didn't spoil the stay.

Signage in adjoining car park said pay when you park.. but it didn’t allow you to pay for extended stay greater than 12 hours. Spoke to reception who explained the signs are for other users of the car park, not hotel guests. A simple sign up in the car park, or even just details of this on booking confirmation would have helped a load of confusion. Staff were friendly. Lights under bed turn off without motion (worked out eventually after not finding a light switch at night to turn the lights off!) but they are quite bright, so when one of you sneaks to the bathroom in the night the lights come up bright- disturbing for the person who is still trying to sleep! It would be good to disable this feature if you wanted to. Bed comfy, curtains shut out the light well. Bedroom and bathroom clean. Breakfast - cold selection good. Disappointing hot buffet, especially if you’re a vegetarian.

Great location

Great location, five mins walk to OVO Hyrdo, and pleasant walk into city centre. Double glazing in room very effective in shutting noise from traffic out completely. Room small but fine, would have benefited from shelves to put clothing as we were staying for three nights. Breakfast good choice and hot. Staff all very pleasant.
