I loved that the property was very elevated with technology , rooms were amazing.

Clean rooms, friendly staff. Not many food and beverage options at the adult pool. Only one option for dinner. This place really caters to family’s that make use of the standard utility.

The rooms are clean and the location is amazing!!! 4 minute walk to the beach, coffee shops and restaurants. My daughter and i both felt safe and the beds where comfortable. Although the first room that we did get was full of mosquitoes we killed seven within 10 minutes of being there and my daughter and I both got bit twice which we get allergic reaction so that was not pretty but the gentleman at the front desk did change her room immediately and make sure that the next room was mosquito free. I would stay there again.

Very cute boutique hotel but historic. If you don’t go in hoping for the Ritz, I think you’ll fall in love with this little gem of an ocean side hotel. The room was large with a separate bedroom, living room and kitchenette and had the most spectacular ocean view. The property was well maintained, clean and walkable to restaurants, coffee shops, bars and great shopping. The lobby offered 24/7 complimentary beverages (sodas, waters and juices) and snacks. There is also a nice wine and beer selection for purchase. The complimentary breakfast (buffet) was well done. Staff was very friendly and helpful. In the building across from the lobby is a rooftop terrace that was perfect for sipping cocktails at sunset. The Pentai Inn is our new favorite spot in Downtown La Jolla. We look forward to going back!

Rooms are spacious, the cleaning staff is not great though. Our room was cleaned late and very subpar.
