I was not expecting much as it was a bargain basement price . Hotel is dated and looks tired . The room was clean , bathroom spotless and the bed was really comfy . Staff were extremely helpful . Definitely recommend for a tight budget was perfect

The hotel lives up to its historical roots . The staff were friendly and cordial. The breakfast can be a bit chaotic at times.. There are no lifts so luggage has to be man handled up the stairs The hotel is well located in the centre of town and parking easy It is well worth a visit

We booked the accomodation for its proximity to the ferry port, and the city centre as we were spending the next day getting stuff together for our trip to Shetland. The room itself was perfect and as described. Very comfy bed and a good shower

The burger meal I had in the evening was tough and dry basically over cooked.
