"Great Hotel. Awesome view!"
Great hotel with a beautiful room from each room. Situated in a cove with it's own private beach area. Tides are high so children need adult supervision. Water was very warm and clean. The kids play club needed to be updated and not too clean. Food was just ok. Cafe had the best sandwiches, waffles and coffee. I recommend this hotel.

"Excellent accomodations w/beautiful views"
This was a very relaxing place for tired people. My husband an I didn't even want to leave the room. This was probably the best room we ever had in a 5 star hotel. The privacy, the luxury, location and the views were excellent. Great place for honeymooners, feels like the whole resort belongs to you.

"Good hotel, in the centre of the action"
This is a good value hotel in the hotel zone, right on the beach. The location is ideal, shops, restaurants and nightlife are just across the street. The rooms are a good size, with a large comfortable bed. The hotel is on a beautiful, long beach and has an excellent, large, pool area. The elevators weren't good. They seemed to stop at many floors, when no-one had pressed the button and on 2 occasions, I was going down from the 10th floor to the lobby and the elevator stopped at the first floor, then, instead of going down, went back up to the 10th floor again. A potential problem for some guests, may be that the hotel is very noisy at night. Even on the 10th floor, one could hear noises from outside, like it was next door, as opposed to being across the street. The music was very loud, most nights. If that isn't a problem. then the hotel provides great value, in a very good location.

"Nice, small, friendly hotel"
We are very happy to have chosen Villas Miramar. We loved the neighborhood, the staff was wonderful and helpful, location was what we wanted and walking distance to many things. It's an older hotel, but we enjoyed the cozy feel. The beds were a little hard and the AC was loud when we used it. Mostly, we used the ceiling fan with the patio screen door open. Loved hearing the waves crashing all night. We arrived just after the high season so enjoyed very quiet beaches and restaurants. If you like all inclusive, then this is not for you.

"GREAT STAY - BETTER THAN EXPECTED - WILL RETURN"
Recently renovated--was Holiday Inn. Staff friendly and helpful but Spanish is useful as only reception employees have English and theirs can be limited. Our room was as pictured for a double standard. Everything in our room worked properly (remember to shut the window to get the air-conditioner to work). Limited English TV channels but you are supposed to be outside enjoying the great weather. There is a clothes line in the shower. One bottle of water a day for the room. There was a coffee maker but you had to purchase coffee separately. Good desk chair. Mattress was new and choice of hard/soft pillows. Hotel has beautifully engineered pool, warm water, water slide, shallow area. Large expanse for seating and we were alone poolside most of the day. Swim up bar or handy servers if it is closed. Grounds are kept up. Small gym and masseuse are poolside. Our second floor west wing room overlooked the pool and we loved it. We keep our windows open all night. Hotel was quiet except on weekends when it fills up with weekending families. Piano music drifting up to our room over the bar was wonderful! Excellent pianist. The bar music shuts down at 10:30PM but partying on weekends can last longer. The bar and restaurant are open air and some hotel rooms have large balconies and those tend to be occupied by party crowd or large families. The noise can carry. So we closed our window two nights to help lessen the noise until it ended. No traffic noise though.

Ixtapa is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Ixtapa, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Ixtapa hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
