Every single member of the staff was friendly, respectful, considerate, and earnest. I have stayed at luxury hotels all over the world, including in Hawaii, and I have never come across a more caring staff. The attitude toward the guest is "this is your home." And when you are there you feel like part of a small family. I wish I had taken more pictures of the staff & I. A very special thanks to Edgar, Huber, and David.

"Lovely hotel with an incredible view!"
We stayed here for a few nights throughout our New Year's holiday and loved every minute. In general: The hotel is georgeous and sits atop a large hill. This allows for a wonderful view of Zihua bay but can be quite the uphill climb at the end of the day. This was not a big problem for us and made for a few laughs at how we had to hike home but those who are not as used to walking everywhere may find it bothersome. We only used the pool once but found the temperature to be comfortable. The lounging area was very nice at the end of a long day. WiFi worked decently all around the hotel. Restaurant: We ate at the restaurant every morning for breakfast and once for supper. Breakfast had a very good selection of fruit, juices, cereals, and hot dishes. Supper was fantastic! I had the pescadillas (despite not being a fish person) and they were simply amazing. The room: Was clean and neat. We had a lovely balcony with a lounger to relax on. Room had a safe, TV, and A/C. No fridge but that was not much of an issue for us. The A/C certainly could cool the room but we had troubles finding a nice balance between warm and freezing cold, which is likely more our fault than the A/C itself. Staff: Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The Wait staff were always smiling and joking with us and were helpful with our poor attempts at Spanish. The desk staff were helpful in giving directions or any other concerns we had. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Hotel Irma.

"This place is special"
The property is beautiful. Our room was spacious and clean. The fresh flower petals on our bed were a nice touch. The food was fresh and well prepared. The staff was very helpful and friendly, we felt like family. He hotel is built into a cliff overlooking the bay and is a short walk to the beach and a 20 minute walk into town. The town was charming and we had many great meals there as well.

"Beautiful location, excellent service, great staff"
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for a week, the room and facilities were very nice. The food was good but not the best I have had at an all inclusive resort. The people who worked there were so kind and helpful, so it made up for the food. Rooms are large and very comfortable. The bed was comfortable which is not always the case in Mexican resorts. The views and location are good. Very nice pools but you do have to walk to the beach. If you want to go somewhere to relax, I would recommend this hotel. The evening shows were also very professionally done. Overall a great week.

"Classy, quiet and beautiful hotel on the beach"
We were very pleasantly surprised at all of the attributes of this hotel. It was classy, quiet, friendly, right on the beach, with a good (but pricy) restaurant. The hotel is within nice walking distance of downtown Zihaut and very near a series of excellent restaurants. As it 'cascades' down the steep hill above Playa La Madera, the stairs would be daunting to anyone with mobility issues, but for us that was just necessary exercise.

Ixtapa is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Ixtapa, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Ixtapa hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
