Always an amazing stay here

Our room was very clean and nice. The staff was friendly. The main restaurant and bar is beautiful but we were very disappointed that it was closed for a private event one of the nights that we stayed there. They had a small bar open for us but it just was not the same. The person attending the bar was not a bartender and had to seek advice at the main bar for assistance. The prices of drinks should reflect the lower quality of ambiance. We would expect coffee and tea to be available complimentary at the cost we were paying for the rooms but you had to buy it at the bar. All in all, for the most part, we really liked this hotel. We just thought it was overpriced for what you got.

Nice bathroom

A hotel that actually has a personality. Most hotels feel interchangeable. DogHouse Edinburgh doesn't. The room was more like a small apartment than a standard hotel room, and the in-room beer tap and the fridge in the shower sound gimmicky until you're using them after a long day of walking the Royal Mile - the craft beers are delicious, too! The record player with a stack of Scottish vinyl was a lovely touch; we ended up playing records all night. If you want a stay you'll actually remember rather than just a place to sleep, this is it.

Good location for walking to various parts of the city. Room was clean and had all we needed for our stay.

All good in the end, but the checkin instructions were not particularly clear - quite confusing in fact. We entered the complex and then had no idea how to find our unit. Thankfully someone could give us a bit of guidance (they were not particularly familiar) when we called for support and we eventually found our unit. Very nicely appointed and we had a great stay - a few added sentences to orienting folks for checkin could solve our issue!
