Lovely, modern hotel in an ideal location for commuting to local area. Only gripe was the air conditioning in my room was not working, which in the heatwave made the room very uncomfortable. Despite reporting the issue, it was not fixed and no compensation/alternative was provided.

Lovely food room was huge staff so helpful and friendly

No receptacles in the bathroom are our only complaint.

Parking is free n the public lot around the corner. Pricing is reasonable.

loved everything, best place to stay in cambridge

Had a recent weekend break at the Red Lion with my wife in order to visit am airshow at nearby Duxford. The premises is well located, within walking distance of the airfield, also close to a mainline railway station for visits to Cambridge. Plenty of parking is available , just remember to register your vehicle when you arrive to avoid charges. This is an old building, the ceilings leading towards the rooms are low, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. We had food in the bar, there are plenty of choices, it is tasty and good value. You may need to book to secure a table as the venue is popular, but this was not a problem. Breakfast was excellent, good choices to suit all. I would like to mention the lady who was serving breakfast on Saturday morning. She was also managing the coffee shop as well as taking orders and serving the meals. She did an excellent job was friendly and hard working, thank you. Overall I enjoyed my visit, would certainly return and can highly recommend the Red Lion.
