I like how close it is to everything. I felt safe in the hotel. The valet parking staff was amazing. They clean your room daily. Towel service is great too. The pool gets over crowded and so does the beach. Front desk is helpful and go out the way to help. My only negative review is the staff at Monkeypod restaurant. They could sure you some hospitality lessons.

Everything about our stay at the Outrigger was outstanding! We had excellent customer service and a great room with an amazing view of Diamondhead. The Monkeypod is a must for drinks and snacks! They offer a fabulous happy hour. We loved the location with the ability to walk to dinner, shopping or explore other areas of Waikiki.

We have been to Waikiki many times but the front desk was the least friendly. When we checked in there was no warm welcome or explanation about the property and there was live music playing and they almost seemed annoyed about not being able to hear me. The beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on we would lay down and can see the mattress cave in there is no support. I heard elevators going up and down all night and the ice machine. Ended up sleeping with ear plugs. Front desk said no better option. Also first time in Hawaii where our view was a cement building next door. This wasn't clear in the Expedia description either, we were in the 3 double bed room. The nicest staff was our housekeeping lady wish I got her name and the bellman was great. Perk is that the location is central to anything and easy beach access but won't return.
