Near a beach

Construction outside the rooms but did not start early or wake us up. Nice sushi restaurant beside it and walkable downtown area. Drive wasn't bad to other side of island. Walkable to a small beach and park. Valet were fast. Nice cheese and wine hour with music. We added an extra night to our stay because of flight changes. They said we had to make another reservation but they could add them together. Then they called us at 1200 the next day telling us we needed to check out and check back in to another room, that the rooms we booked were different. This was not communicated at check in, they said everything was good to go for the stay. As we were on vacation we weren't near the hotel. They told us we needed to come back and move our stuff immediately, then 30 minutes later called and said they moved things around and we were fine to stay. Luckily we had not called another cab yet or would have been on our way back just to turn around again. Bad communication out a damper on the place.

Could see fireworks at Hilton Friday night, next to a lovely park and a short walk to beach and places to eat. Kitchenette was very handy. Could use some USB plugs. Loved our stay.

The hotel was lovely, our room was amazing and we had a lovely view from the balcony. The beach and pool towels we so handy, we loved the gym and the pool. There was a bus stop right outside and the beach and shops were so close. The entertainment and cheese and wine night were absolutely brilliant and I loved having free coffee every morning. I stayed here as a mum with my 2 boys and felt completely safe and comfortable. The only negative was the lifts took forever and were very crowded but I think there my have been an issue with a couple of them so I'm sure it's been sorted by now. The best thing about this hotel were the staff on the front desk. They were always so friendly and helpful. The lady that checked us in, I think her name was Biki, she was absolutely amazing. We had just landed from Japan and had a 16 hour time difference and were exhausted. I didn't expect to be allowed to check in early but she arranged it so we could and she also helped out by moving things around so that we could stay in the same room for 6 nights as I'd made 2 bookings over the 6 nights in different rooms. The beautiful room that she arranged for us, letting us check in early and not having to move rooms really made our stay here amazing and we are so grateful to her. She is a credit to the hotel and I can't thank her enough.

Short Stay , but Sweet!

Only stayed one night to board ship next day. I would have been perfectly happy to stay at this hotel longer.

I loved it here. Beware, it's valet parking only. Like $40 something a night. I didn't mind though, it made parking a breeze. Luana was close to lots of shops and restaurants. Loved the staff. Very welcoming and always ready to serve. The elevators take long.

Hotel Luana was right in the middle of Waikiki. Yes, there is lots of traffic, but it didn't interrupt our stay. We initially took Uber the first two days, but realized we could just walk to our destinations. The rooms are outdated, but it was doable since we only slept in them and cooked breakfast. The staff were very friendly! Our plane didn't depart until 11 pm, but the staff kept our luggage locked up while we went out and about, and allowed us to use the pool shower after we went to the beach. The beach is about a 15 min walk through a gorgeous park. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
