Nice hotel for your stay but not worth the price. The hotel isn’t a “resort” but charges resort fees. The property is extremely outdated with water stains in the roof. Small “upgrades” were made to the rooms to make it feel modern but it is still obvious that the hotel is old. Parking is horrible. The self park price per day is expensive and the parking garage is almost impossible to navigate as it is so compacted and cramped. Initial staff that we interacted with at the front desk was not informative or helpful but everyone one else we interacted with was friendly. The location was the best thing about this hotel. It is in the middle of Waikiki beach and walkable to almost anything in that area. If you’re planning on going around the island, you would definitely need a car, but for Waikīkī purposes, this hotel is in an ideal spot. They have pretty much everything you need on the property, like “rentable” pool/beach towels (free if you return within 24 hours), onsite stores, convenience stores, coffee shops, and restaurants. Breakfast buffet was great and worth the price, I’d recommend including it in your package.

The photos make it seem that the property is beachfront but there is a busy street you have to cross to get to the beach. Traffic is very noisy. However, hotel is upscale and views from upper floors were excellent. Maid service was daily and very thorough.

I was assigned room 2651 which happens to share a wall with the elevators. Every night of my stay I listened to the elevators going up and down. They are so noisy the first night of my stay I at first thought it was thunder. In addition across the street from my room they are constructing a new high rise. Imagine the joy of being woken up every morning at 6:00 AM to the sound of construction after listening to the elevator all night. I realize the Hyatt cannot control surrounding construction but the right thing to do is to notify potential guest so they can make an informed decision on accommodations. To be fair on cleanliness, housekeeping did a fantastic job. My complaint is the condition of the room itself. It definitely needs new paint. The condition of the furniture shows its age. This was my third trip to Hawaii, on my next trip Hyatt will not be my hotel of choice.

I liked the location of the building, I was completely disappointed with our room, it had a horrible view of a construction site and right under our balcony were AC generators full of trash that flew up towards our room. We were moved to another room on the 32nd floor which was run down. Chipped paint, missing paintings on the wall the room was plain ugly, truly disappointing. My daughters begged me not to make another request to change rooms because they feared it would look worse. I was completely upset that I paid so much for our stay there.

It's a great location and convenient for stay on Waikiki...only drawback was the large construction site that started work every morning at 7.a.m... Also, the self-parking is convenient, but very, very, very tight...
