Positives: Very nice place to stay. Bed super comfy, AC nice, took a bit to learn how to adjust to make it not too cold. Shower great water pressure and plenty hot. Suggestions: More than 1 roll of toilet paper is needed if 3-4 people staying in room and housekeepers coming every other day. Washcloths should also be enough for at least each person staying showering at least twice per day. I had to call for toilet paper 3x’s and wash clothes 2 x’s in a 9 day stay. Also shower gel ran out. Had to call for that, too. Container wasn’t refilled when room was cleaned. Perhaps a larger container or keep a backup for longer family stays. Location was perfect for shops, beach, restaurants and ABC, where you can get drinks, snacks, etc.

Hotel is decent for anyone just wanting to explore and walk waikiki. If you’re planning on not spending too much time at the hotel, then maybe this is the right hotel for you. My reason for the 1 star is because of the terrible valet experience. Extremely slow, and not reliable. Instead of actually bringing the car to the front, I had to walk to the back of their parking garage while following their staff because they didnt bring it to the front. (This happened twice, in the span of 5 nights) Also, one specific experience really rubbed me the wrong way. I had forgot something in my room, I told the valet person that ill be back in a few min I have to just get something from my room. I had put the car on the side. My gf was in the car waiting for me. They wanted to move the car to make room for a new car. They went to the car and just opened the door to talk to my gf. (Why would they just open the door). They told her to move the car back, she said she doesnt drive and she can call me to move it. The valet person just slammed the door in her face, opened the drivers door and moved the car. This left my gf a bit shaken. I dont have a problem with them moving my car. But if you are going to, either ask for her permission or get mine on the phone. Dont slam the door, and dont just get in without permission.

I stayed 6 nights at the Twin Fin Hotel in an ocean front room. The view was absolutely beautiful and gave me the true feeling of being in Hawaii. Sitting on the balcony with a coffee in the morning, feeling the sea breeze and watching the blue ocean, was so relaxing. The room itself was fine. Housekeeping seemed to change towels every second day. The shower water pressure wasn’t strong, but still manageable. The hotel provides two complimentary water bottles, and it was convenient to refill them on the lobby floor. I didn’t try the hotel breakfast, and I think it’s actually better not to add it since there are many cafés and restaurants nearby offering more variety at better prices. An ABC store is just a 1 minute walk away, where you can buy food, snacks, and souvenirs. The bus stop is also close, which made transportation easy. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Royal Hawaiian Center. Considering the location and the ocean front view, the price was very reasonable compared to other options. The only downside was that reception was not very friendly and didn’t clearly explain the charges. In addition to the room rate, I was charged about $630USD (resort fee + security deposit). They only mentioned the resort fee at check-in, so I was left worried and confused until I figured out the rest. Overall, the stunning ocean view and convenient location made my stay very enjoyable, but clearer communication from staff would have made it even better.
