Me and my family really loves staying here at Island Colony. I would like to give a big Mahalo to Mrs. Pat she has always made us feel warm and welcome and also give the rest of the front desk workers a big Mahalo they always have the Aloha spirit. I would definitely recommend Island Colony to my friends and family

When we were staying, another unit was remodeling. There were 8 hours a day of noisy contractions. They should have placed us further from the unit that was remodeling, at the least. Disappointed stay.

It was a good place to stay with kids. We felt safe in the hotel due to the security measures that are taken. The one thing that would be nice along with holding your bags until you leave after checking out would be a location to shower before leaving the island. A lot of the flights leave late at night and if you want to catch those last rays of sunshine before heading home it would be nice to wash off the salt water and sand. Overall, it was a good place to stay, and I would stay again.

The hotel itself was great! Most of the staff was amazing with the exception of one front desk person who had an attitude. The lady who checked us in even remembered our room numbers every time we went to get beach chairs, or towels! The carpet in our room had an excessive amount of stains however it did seem to be clean. I think it would be better replaced with indoor/outdoor carpet or hard flooring! Overall, for the amount of time we were there the hotel served it purpose, and we had no issues!

Property was in close proximity of shopping, dining and beach. The option of pool and jacuzzi, mini market, laundry and fitness center on the 6th floor was a nice extra for the days we didn't want to go out. Staff was nice. Property offered 24 hour security with cameras in the common areas. Room we had was a bit outdated but served it's purpose.

Relaxing and enjoyable stay

My stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. I truly enjoyed the amenities like the pool and the hot tub and the close proximity to the shopping malls, restaurants, and Waikiki Beach. My hotel room was satisfactory and I enjoyed the scenic views from my balcony.

Carpet in 1st Rm we checked in very late at night was so dirty , with frayed curtains;cockroach, 1st & 2nd room was just not what the pic we had booked ; they accommodated us in the 3rd Room which was not the same pic as we booked but it was much better & cleaner . Staff were friendly and accommodating always . They always try to make improvements. Very old and definitely needs revamping and pest control
