I had a really lovely stay at this hotel. Honestly, everything was just right. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made a big difference. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere—it felt relaxing and easy to unwind. Overall, I couldn’t find anything to complain about. I’d definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it to others.

South Sands Hotel is an amazing place to stay - idyllic surroundings and view to enjoy for a short break away this was what we needed, time to relax and forget the day to day home life - would recommend to all if you get the chance even for 1 night it’s worth it.

We’re shown a room that had plenty of stairs going to it my wife walks with a stick and can’t do many stairs asked the receptionist if we could change she said the hotel was full but would change it the next day They gave us a lovely room on the second floor right next to the lift with no stairs the receptionist was very helpful could not thank her enough the room was spotless all staff very pleasant and lovely meals

Friendly staff - needs some TLC

Amazing hotel and amenities. The staff is friendly and very welcoming to families. I would gladly stay in this hotel in the future.

It's getting old now, no air con in the rooms, ageing decor but a great location, comfortable bed and fantastic outdoor pool. It's just all a bit weird. Nobody in the bar area has any idea what they are doing, ordering drinks was a lottery worth no logical system, food was paid for then after waiting for nearly an hour I went to check on it and they forgot to put it through. Then had to chase both courses, it was over 2 hours from ordering before I gave up on the pudding and asked for a refund. Views are nice. Good location. Great pools. Let down by staff.
