Gorgeous hotel, had a beautiful balcony with an amazing view but it would of been amazing if it had some sort of spa.. would defiantly recommend if it doesn't bother you, but we love to sit and relax in a steam room. Restaurant was lovely, with great quality food!

"Nice hotel, great for couples "
Lovely weekend stay at this hotel. It was quite noisy at night due to music and people outside in the smoking area, but apart from that it was great, the food was lovely and room service was good. Staff were pleasant when interacting but, when not interacting with customers they were talking about personal things like 'getting drunk at the weekend' etc which was a little off putting as your trying to enjoy your beautifully cooked breakfast and you cant help but listen. Apart from something as minor as that we were very very impressed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend(s).

"Great Place To Stay"
We'd noticed the hotel while walking along the promenade on a previous visit and popped in to have a look at the hotel and had a drink in their glass-screened promenade facing deck area. Thought the place was nice and planned to come back for a mini-break on one of their special offers. We did come back for a mini-break but got an even better deal via Expedia and upgraded ourselves to a superior room with sea view. The hotel seems to have been recently renovated and was smartly decorated, spacious and clean, our room was very well appointed and had a four-poster. The staff are young, friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally situated for long days on the beach, the ramp down to the beach is only approx 100m along the promenade and close to the bottom are the toilets and the "must be visited" Flags Cafe, which serves great savouries and home (on the premise) made cakes, super coffee, beer, cider, wine. We were very fortunate to have super weather and really enjoyed our mini-break.

"Friendly hotel, clean rooms, excellent value"
We stay here regularly. You can often get a very good room rate by booking in advance. The reception area is ridiculously over the top for a hotel of this type, but fun to look at! The rooms don't reflect the first impression, being tired now. They are kept excellently clean, but the bathroom fittings in most of the rooms are very old, rusting and black, which makes them look unhygienic, even if they are not. I gather that they are now starting to upgrade the rooms as money becomes available, which will make this a wonderful hotel again. The food is very good. Breakfast is a buffet style, but probably the best quality buffet (full english) we have ever had, anywhere in the world! Dinner is good, but not outstanding. We have found a room which we particularly love, and ask for every stay now, as it seems to have been upgraded more recently than most. Not telling you which one though! The staff are wonderful, but turnover seems high, and numbers of staff too low - they work crazy hours. The owners need to staff up to correct levels. We haven't used the leisure facilities, but they look very good, and are popular.

"Ideally located for historical sightseeing"
Surpassed our expectation in quality.comfort, and standard of service. It matched London 5 star rating. Quiet comfortable rooms with free mini bar (though the items were not replaced daily, but that is being greedy). Breakfast was perfect. Dinner was Nouveux cuisine and not to our basic taste , but very well presented. Well worth the bargain rates we got through Expedia.

"very convenient "
I stayed at this hotel which was just 2 miles from my meeting place. It was obvious that the hotel had been recently refurbished by the smell of new carpet! Sadly the mattress hadn't been changed and had a dip in the centre. The fire alarms worked -- as demonstrated when the alarms went off before 6am on the day I was there! I wouldn't recommend dining there as it wasn't the nicest meal I've eaten but Colchester wasn't that far away which I'm sure would give better choice..

Holland-On-Sea is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Holland-On-Sea, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Holland-On-Sea hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
