"Nothing Bad Happened..."
The carpets felt and smelled kind of yucky as did the comforter. The bathroom needed to be updated, and there was even rust on the vanity mirror. I expected more of the continental breakfast. I chose Days Inn in part because of a great experience I had with the breakfast at a another location. Here, it was severely lacking. Otherwise, beds were comfortable. The AC/Heat worked wonderfully. No "pests" (flees or bed bugs). Staff was nice enough. It's in a good location. Wifi did not work very well, and sometimes not at all. There weren't many people staying when we were these, so it wasn't due to bandwidth usage.

"Owner needs to update apartment"
My husband and I went for a quick weekend getaway. This was a great location in the mountains. The property was lovely and the staff was very good and helpful. It seems that each individual rental may be privately owned. As such, each owner I guess can update as they see fit. The unit we rented was clean and tidy, but in great need of updating. The window blinds were broken and the unit probably had not been painted in years. The bathroom fan was incredibly noisy. Since these types of rentals are not attracting "party animals" it may be in the owners best interest to update the unit to attract even better clientele, and possible command a higher price for renting. Just saying. Even with the fact that things need sprucing up, I would stay there again, maybe in a different unit.

"Simple, no frills, pleasant cost effective stay"
Laconia NH is a cute small town set in the past when the hosiery mills where operating in their heyday. Landmark is centrally located and after enjoying a Styx concert in nearby Gildord, we explored the town, river and nearby lake and surroundings. Good hotel for doing just that and not deflating your wallet.

"Nice quiet place to stay"
We stayed here to be near our friends who were staying on Little Squam Lake. While we surveyed the pools and the game room we did not uses them. The pools were in great condition and the children 7 and 9, were impressed with the game room. The unit was very clean and all appliances worked fine. The beds were comfortable and there was little, if any, outside noise. We all slept very well. The only suggestions that I would have for the resort would be to update the stove and TVs. The supply of cooking equipment, pots and pans and utensils could be more robust as well. Another comfortable chair in the living area would also be a plus. Overall a very nice place to stay in the lakes region of NH.

RiverWalk Resort at Loon Mountain

"Not that dog friendly . "
This is not an appropriate hotel to be listed as dog friendly. A room on the 3rd floor is not an ideal place for anyone with dogs especially if they could bark which will happen with any dog. We had barely made it to the pool with our children after a very long day of driving & got a call from the desk about our dogs barking. Fortunately we were close and went to the room & quieted the dogs. But it was impossible to relax, leave for any length of time or attend our family wedding without constantly checking our phones worrying they would call us with a complaint . The room was very expensive and I would not recommend it as a dog friendly/welcoming pet hotel. It was also difficult to sleep with the wifi box and smoke alarm with bright lights right above the bed . It was like having a row of spotlights on you all night. We did not sleep well. Location was fine and room was nice but not the ideal place for dogs.

"Summer Camp Parent's Weekend"
Although 2 exits away from my destination because of the various camps having parent's weekend at the same time, closer places were booked. This place was in a little ski village of sorts and fit my needs for the one night I needed to be there. Ellyn at the front desk was fabulous on the phone prior to my stay and upon my arrival. Her customer service was impeccable and accommodating.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
