"Excellent Hotel set in very nice grounds"
My partner and I spent a two night stay here whilst visiting the Warner Brothers Studio. The location is excellent, less than half an hour from the Warner Brother Studio. The hotel itself looks great - we arrived late in the evening and it looked fantastic lit up. The staff on reception were friendly checking us in although do note there is a deposit which must be paid, for us this was £200 but I knew this in advance so not an issue. Breakfast was fantastic both days - a buffet with excellent choice of cooked breakfast and continental options. The only negative we could find was it could be tricky to get tea and coffee. Other hotels tend to have serve yourself tea and coffee but here a member of staff has to bring it over and on one day we had to ask three times to finally get served. Other than that staff were helpful. The bedroom was reasonably sized, the bed was comfortable and the air con was fantastic. We are both very observant regarding cleanliness and were delighted with the room. We found it quite odd the TV was not in an ideal viewing position from the bed (slightly tucked around the corner) but accidently found out it pulls out from the wall which was ideal. Something else impressive was the mirror in the bathroom. The centre part of the mirror is heated so even after a shower its possible to see yourself. We would've liked to have had tea and coffee facilities in the room. The grounds of the garden are also very pleasant so we really enjoyed having a walk around.

"Lovely setting, "
A varied stay, very welcoming & helpful staff, great food, lovely grounds. On the down side, small room size, not a drawer to be found for storage, faulty plumbing. Wifi was very intermittent, swimming pool & free coffee machines were out of order & false alarm fire siren at 6.30 am was a bonus!

"Great, friendly hotel in picturesque setting"
I was looking for a "cost-effective" place to stay to get me nearer to London/Gatwick airport after a friend I was meant to stay with was taken ill last minute. Knowing that I would be taking Darftord crossing, I was looking at Harlow/Bishop's Stortford area, and this was one of the first hotels that caught my eye on the 'net. After a bit of research I decided to go for Little Hallingbury Mill based on it's quaint description (and exceptionally reasonable price), and was not dissappointed. A little difficult to find in the dark/wet weather (they plan to put up a clearer signage on the junction), I was pleased to see an old C19th Mill, annex and Millhouse converted to rooms, snug bar and dining area. Exceptionally friendly staff/owners made me feel very welcome, discussing the geography and history of the Mill/functioning waterwheel/gearset that is a feature of the bar over a nice cold pint of Stella (Ale and other lagers available). I turned up too late for dinner (I didn't get there til ~10pm), but was offered sandwiches if required. A traditional full English (cereals etc also available) set me up in the morning for my continued drive. All in all, excellent value for money. Would recommend to friends/family.

Hertfordshire is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Hertfordshire, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Hertfordshire hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
