"Noisy Night"
Hotel is quite comfortable, however our room was directly over a function room which resulted in a very disturbed night and sleep was not possible until the early hours. This was very disappointing and considering the cost of the room not acceptable. A very big downside is no car park and you have to drive round the surrounding area to find a space.

The most amusing thing about this hotel is that many people got lost!!! Whenever we left our room we met people who were having difficulty finding their way around.

"Overnight stay whilst visiting in the area"
From start to finish our stay was faultless. Settled into a beautiful spacious room with lovely view. Then enjoyed a beer (or two) outside in the sunshine. Later that evening we had a delicious meal with excellent service. The bed was incredibly comfy and breakfast next morning was first rate. I particularly loved the muesli which was clearly put together in house and was just gorgeous. All the staff, at each point of our stay, were lovely, friendly and efficient. I would love to go back.

Ringwood Hall Hotel

Chesterfield Road, Chesterfield - Map
"Great Hotel But ... "
The Ringwood Hall Hotel is really good, the staff are great and very helpful and the facilities are like a stately home. The food is really decent the portions are fantastic and the prices are good value overall it is a great place. But there is a downside to all good things. I have not stayed at Ringwood Hotel before so was looking forward to the whole experience in the country. I was given one of the external rooms (not in the main house), the room was only a short walk away or I could drive around. I decided to walk, the steps down to the rooms were really slippery as it was raining so you need to be careful. I had a bit of luggage with me so it was a bit of a trek to the room and the climb up the stairs was quite challenging, the keys to the doors are also quite sticky and fiddley. When I got into the room it was spacious and very clean the bathroom was very modern and nice with a shower. But the main bedroom was poor the decor was straight out of the 1920's extremely outdated, the bed was very uncomfortable, the sheets and linen are of poor quality and the room heater is something I have installed in my garage. My sleeping experience was poor to say the least and I caught up with it once I got home. Why don’t hotels realize that the most important features of a hotel is the room and the bed at least if you have a great night’s sleep you can overlook everything else. If I was the owners I would invest in a top of the line bed & mattress.

The hotel room overlooked the village square and had a pleasant outlook. The bed was comfortable and the food was ok. The experience was let down by a very smas and dirty ensuite.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
